Seriously, you have not heard all of Justins songs especially his unreleased songs to say this is the first song you like by Justin Bieber. Dude you have not heard all his music apparently.
You seriously are underestimating his talent. All the songs u hear on the radio from him isn’t representative of his talent, his best songs are his most underrated. I’d advice you to listen to Hard 2 face reality, Flatline, One life, Christmas Eve, 2U, Deja vu, Home to mama, Hold tight all his live performances are amazing
No I haven't taken a deep dive into his music. His voice just doesn't really appeal to me. And I get that the long term fans think I'm missing out and that's fine. I'm obsessed with Billie Eilish and I know a TON of people think she's overrated.
Vocally, he seems to be getting better and better, which is so fortunate, because often with child vocalists, that is not the case. Great reaction to a lovely song.
Do the SNL presentation, is a live performance, he was emotional at first but picked it up and there were some notes changed. It slaps dude it was so good.
@@irenelopez3829 i mean literally oscar range actor since he was a small kid (smaller). Jacob is amazing im still surprised they got him for the vid, specially bc is a short one.
This is a heartfelt song with intimate, transparent lyrics and no matter what people think of him, he’s got indisputable talent and a really exceptional voice
the more you pay attention to the lyrics the more you feel for him like wow amazing song love the words, melody, structure everything it feels the way loneliness feels i just amazing song thx for reacting to it
I really like this song. This is the first I'm hearing of it, and I'm glad I am. Not only is is voice soothing, and the whole songs tune and presentation fantasticly made, but it's also so meaningful. Talking abt how he didn't get the usual child hood. Instead every little thing he did was being watched and judged. Most other little boys could do stupid stuff and maybe get in trouble but that was that. Justin ofc didn't grow up that way, and regardless of his many fans, he was ultimately still lonely. This song I'm sure is very important to him bc it brings awareness to the fact that famous ppl r famous and rich at a cost. It's not all fame and happiness and the perfect life. There's so many downsides to being popular. You can't even live a "Normal" life smtimes bc of fans everywhere. It sounds nice but it can be annoying and exhausting. All the hate u get takes a toll as well. Everything u do is being watched, and ur supposed to be a role model now, and every mistake u make is everywhere. It's really sad, and I think we take the entertainment community (singers, actors, etc.) for granted. We always talk abt all the things we take for granted but in that field u don't hear famous entertainers being talk abt much. We don't realize how much they have to go through. Thank you to everyone of them for all that they do. Their work impacts ppl in so many ways. It can tell a story, trigger feelings, relate with ppl, comfort ppl, bring awareness to important subjects, and sm more. If u read through all this I hope u have a nice day, and when u can, take the time to appreciate everyone around u. (Not just entertainers). And don't take ANYTHING for granted. Take a moment to appreciate today. The fact that your alive and u have ppl who are loving and forgiving that care for u. If ur having a good day, week, month, year, or just moment- appreciate it. you'll miss it more than you think when times get rough. "I wish you could tell when you're in the good times before you've actually left them." - Andy ("The Office") Spread positivity, we need it now more than ever
Wow, ty tristan for heating that comment. I love your videos, they're very informal yet entertaining and funny. I love watching them and really appreciate u! Ty for making good content for us :D
I think that's the point :)) he's trying to express the heaviness of the pain he felt, practically you can hear it through the vocals because it feels like he's chocking up while trying to sing
You seriously are underestimating his talent. All the songs u hear on the radio from him isn’t representative of his talent, his best songs are his most underrated. @@Inferno-ob9td wow your really copy and pasting this response left and right. People have different tastes in music and it’s fine. I don’t *not* like Justin but I also don’t like him either, in my opinion he’s fine but I’d rather listen to different types of songs and believe it or not, this is going to be very hard to believe so get ready, there are other people in the world who agree with me. I know mind blown right!
Yea Justin has been working on yodeling. He does in some of his songs. Hes got a couple on his new album when he. yodels hes just trying to improve the range of his voice cause he know he can. Hes so talented.
@@a_beats5529 he's not a nerd he's more knowledgeable and educated than most of the people on the internet! Has his own million dollar company and is doing so good for himself! So it would have been better if people looked up to people like him instead of calling them "nerd" and what not! ...Fool
i aint a hater just not a fan but he mainz uses alot of autotune and lip syncs in lives and had sugery for his vocals to sound decent but he still aint
That is the first Bieber song that I have ever liked. Because it’s meaningful. Actually almost had me in tears, especially mixed with the video of the kid who was playing him. Amazing. Of course, I have always been more drawn to lyrical content more than how catchy it is.
It is insane when you grew up with him being a teen and an adult now. It is haunting how the media criticized him and how he changed now. Seeing that purple hoodie and while jean outfit brought back everything. Just crazy
I’m reading these comments & I’m getting emotional because I’ve been a belieber since the beginning & I seen everyone hate him for no reason. It makes me soo happy that people are finally supporting & realizing what the media/people did to him was wrong.
The little dip that he does in "know" from the line "maybe then you'll know me" gets me every time. Very nice artistic choice to make his voice sound like a shake to convey his pain, and at the same time showcase his vocal talent
I think you would enjoy the live version he did on SNL a lot more. His note changes are amazing and the song hits 100x more when you’re actually seeing how passionate he is while singing it. Please consider watching it
it's like when he write this song, He was just like everyday with his wife, then after shower he look into the mirror, and suddenly he go back to his early years, then he saw him in the present on the mirror, and say who are you
I really like this song because it's beautifully sung and has so much meaning. 7th grade me loved all of his songs but adult me likes this new maturity.
4:44 Tristan: it's actually about him Yess tristan😂 the kid should show him (with his famous outfit) and what he went trough... Can you please react to the live performance?🤩
As someone who's been a fan of his since he was a child on RU-vid singing with Esmee Denters, this is so real and raw and I think it will be a great album to bring his oldest fans back on board. I've never had such a simple song give me such intense chills.
Ok just be honest this song is one of the best he had, it’s his style, he is expressing himself, it’s not a song only. I think this song is very catchy and who never felt that way once? Just remember Joan Osborn and many singers have their own things musically it’s not opera. After so long I think it’s a great song of him.
listen to holy and lonely live on SNL, his vocals are crazy. plus this song is all about him, the little kid represents his 2010 era called "kidrauhl". its even the same outfit, and he plays hockey + practices the dance moves. its a really emotional song to him, it indicates that even with all the fame he always felt lonely and the end shows him reflecting on his younger lonely self which made us all sob.
you should really react to his SNL live version of lonely, i’d think you’d love it (it made me fall in love with the song a thousand times more) and i’m very interested in seeing ur reaction.... so please do it 😩😩
This is much more emotional than I'd ever expect from any pop star, let alone J. Beiber. And then the visuals. The little actor playing young Justin... man. The hockey playing is kinda interesting. I feel like most people forget or don't know that he's Canadian. Wow.
It's funny you mention the Walmart boy at the beginning. I wondered if when he wrote this justin had him in mind because he also is a child who became famous really fast and relates to the symbolism of the song. I also thought maybe the yodeling "lonely" was paying tribute to hank Williams and kind of making a modern sounding version of "blues" music. Either way, I think it was definitely intentional to have a yodeling chorus. I love justin!
It’s always start dying of laughter when a song starts to hit me in my feels and about to cry and Tristan pauses and all I hear is “ohhhh😄😁😃 *starts talking about the artist hitting a certain note”
I’m seriously blown away by this song. It’s SO vulnerable, personal, and deep. Like you said, it’s beyond haunting. That last part of the video must have been hard to film. Looking at himself with those words. I just hope that this was a truly healing moment for him.
Tristan you should react to Justins SNL performance of Lonely as well! Its so amazing and he bring such an emotional tone to the song that makes it even better than the studio version
I've really never been into Justin Bieber's music...But these last few songs he's put out have really hit me in a different way. I'm thoroughly enjoying this part of his musical evolution. ✌😎
