THIS! Jessie Ware is the best current vocalist in pop, for me. She has an absolutely breathtaking tone, great range and can pull of breathy head voice and big belts so effortlessly. React to more Jessie, Georgina!!! As for this song, for me if you don't overthink it you enjoy it more. It's just a big slice of gay disco and I'm here for it.

Thank you Georgina for reacting. I completely understand where you are coming from because not everyone will like everything. I absolutely love the song, it is very 70s disco. Lyrically, "Kiss of Life" deals with an infatuation with a significant other, and Kylie and Jessie wanting this to be reciprocated and the video directed by Sophie Muller is a concept of Jessie running a restaurant and Kylie is a sort of antagonist who visits. Fun fact about the video was that it was filmed in a restaurant in London and was an all night shoot from 10:30pm to 10:30am with Kylie eating pasta 🍝 and drinking espresso ☕️ at 5am. Loved the video and thank you for reacting 😊

The problem with reviews.. Is that not every song is instant. 100% this isn't a song that MOST people like on First listen.. it gets you more after repeat plays. There is no MASSIVE hook.. big chorus.. It's a song that just groovs along start to finish! And this is something well known about songs. That's why you get amazing album tracks that sometimes take MONTHS to really show how fantastic they are. Case in point would be how i suddenly realised how absolutely an amazing song "one last kiss" from Kylie's Golden album.. It's probably THE BEST song on the album. It's absolutely the best melody in a pop song. And it took months for me to realise it's greatness.

I did not love the song on first listen, but found it intriguing, and now I just can’t get it out of my head. There are so many sticky parts. And the video is pure genius. Good for Kylie for just doing what the hell she wants artistically because this is gold. We need more unleashed Kylie and since these recent collabs are so unique and fabulous!

When I watch this I feel like it's a bar/restaurant that the characters from Three's Company would go to LOL for some reason I love the video. It feels so authentically 70s down to the over the top acting. I actually didn't like the song the first listen but now It's in my head and I really like it.

I love this song! The things that some are not liking about it are exactly the things that I love about it! Lol. I like the layered vocals which are providing more of a 'sound' than an actual voice front and center. It makes it sound so retro disco circa 1978-9.

Yeah it's definitely whimsical and camp. I think its actually got Dynasty vibes but I do agree with you, the harmonies are sublime. But it could of done with a little more oomph in the chorus. The original album had so many ABSOLUTE BANGERS, that I hoped would be given a chance to shine. But it doesn't look like that's gonna happen 😕. I absolutely adore Kylie, shes been my idol for 22 yearsxxx

Jessie Ware can do MUCH BETTER VOCALS! You should react to her discography. She has 4 albums, the first album is her weakest in my opinion and her newest one is very disco-inspired but the vocals are much better than what's offered here :) .. Good song and fits with the disco thing but not the best vocally from either one of them. Especially Jessie because she is such an amazing vocalist! A good song to really get the depth of her vocals is Say You Love Me and the majority of her third album.

From what I am assuming, especially from the end scene is that Kylie is a restaurant critic that's come to Jesse's restaurant to review it(If you notice she comes incognito and then slides into some random people's booth and tastes the food) but it's turned into more of a competition between the two ladies a sort of a "one up" with each other, and it seems like Kylie's not having a good time or it went terribly downhill... But in the end it's just the way Kylie operates in her dramatic sense

I love kylies music and I love jessie's too but I agree Georgina; there isn't enough oomphh in the the build up to the chorus. I'm hoping il like this after a few more listens as second to midnight with Olly, I loved immediately. Love your videos as always x

I interpret the video as being a restaurant reviewer going to a restaurant in the late 1970s Studio 54-era, and the owner of the restaurant is competitive or has a history with this person. The part where Kylie's character pretends to faint and people are crowding around her shows that Kylie's character is melodramatic (and perhaps that's why the restaurateur doesn't get along with her), but just the way they compete with the karaoke singing is all camp. I agree with you, the song itself is lacking only because there's really nothing substantive to the lyrics. But that "give me the kiss of life" line is catchy and will stick in your head. Or at least it has mine. Watch the video several times. The video will grow on you, maybe more than the song itself.

The video is totally off the music but it's concept is to be funny. The song is yet another nice one in the Disco album. What I like most is that they manage to recreate the 70s feel successfully. Not many can do though. Kylie become very keen on going back in time. You can trace it throughout her career. I believe that when she is lost in present day she like to jump back as a way to escape. As far as possible. I hope this will save the day once again this time around.

Got to be honest, I didn't like it as much when I first heard it but then it started to grow on me. There is this strong 70s disco happening within the song and the whispery vocals sort of gives it that flirtatious feel to it. The video also somehow made me like the song even more too because it's so camp (also because it kinda looks like a gayer version of those Gucci fashion videos).

I loooooove this. The track get catchier the more you hear it. I actually hated it on my first listen. As for the video; theres obviously some kind of rivalry going on. Kylie snuck in, likely to review the place, and Jessie recognizes her. She tries to appeal to Kylie, who just wants it all to be about her and “have a little bit of fun”. But Jessie just can’t, and frazzles out. Now if one has to explain the ‘kitsch’ going on in the setting to the viewer…they’ll likely still not get it. Lol Very “Shakespeares Sister” (Siobhan/Jessie’s facials) meets “death becomes her” meets “dynasty” meets, yes, even Drag race. I mean, some of the challenges in that don’t make any sense either. And admittedly, there is A LOT going on here. Perhaps even a nod to Madonna at the end there, where Kylie writes the review (aka Madame X at her typewriter). However what she puts to paper doesn’t make any sense either. Now I wouldn’t go looking for too much meaning. Let’s just call it ‘camp’. Just watch it again, maybe without interrupting the fun parts to pass comment before trying to work out the narrative. It does spoil the ‘first time watch’; and I hate that for you. Big love from lil New Zealand 🌈❤️

If you solely focused on commenting on the vocals only I may have been able to watch your video to the end. Your comments infuriated me as we don’t want to hear what you think about the setting, the atmosphere, the story… only the vocals. Stick to talking about vocals. Vocals, vocals, vocals. I LOVE this song and love both singers but....... I really wish Kylie would stop letting her vocals get so over produced. She can sing amazingly, 1994's KM album on deConstruction showcased how she sounds far better with less production. Just look up her rendition of Fontella Base's "Rescue Me" on here, she sounds amazing. THAT'S the Kylie I want to hear.

Agree this song is so meh!!!! It has no real tune to remember, you can barely hear their voices and the video is a mess!! But everyone will pretend to love it just cause it's Kylie 🙄
