@@xzgun100 she is an okay singer. I dont even like Madonna like that i am more into Janets music. Madonna just vocally average. She isnt terrible she can sing. Madonna gift has always been shock value and entertainment. She also has a great production team, profound image and works around all that.
I was so impressed how she recovered. Anyone would have been absolutely shaken and so was she but she still immediately got up again and carried on. She said in interviews that she cried her eyes out after this performance, she felt so ashamed but it was also the nerves and back pain.
@@art1ej Not a big fall in terms of height but it was a hard, awkward fall made worse due to being live with a TV audience of millions watching.Normally if you did suffer an accident like that you can sort of yelp loudly or swear etc which helps deal with the pain but imagine doing it as she did.Thats why people are giving her respect!
i Wonder how many other performers of M`s status would have recovered their confidence after sucha monumental fall on live TV,. Gotten back up and been as professional as M was here in continuing the performance. Most of us would want the Earth to swallow us up after something like that.. Kudos to her for doing her best to pull it all back together.
Christian Jones Not on live TV with an audience of millions they didn't . Tour performances have an audience full of fans of that particular artist that will cheer them on and get them back in the groove again. Madonna had to deal with an audience of silence made up mostly of those who were not necessarily Madonna fans ...It's a different beast altogether ....
@@sharkyroman a true performer continues to perform after mistakes i think it is delusional to assume Madonna is the only person who can recover. Beyonce has had plenty of on stage experiences even with Michelle where she fell and she kept on performing. Lol. She isnt the only one. Nobody is going to stop a performance because an incident that only draws more attention to the incident.
No one was sacked. Madonna told on the Ellen show that every one panicked because at the last moment they are asked to enter from a larger distance. She said that she couldn't untie it (the Cape was very heavy) and she took the blame on herself. + She went to the hotel and cried a lot after this performance.
That's her passing the buck. That couldn't be the truth. Where else would she have entered from? Too many factors come into play for her entrance. Camera placement, security detail since she's coming through the audience, timing and entrance cue from the stage manager, house security clearing the audience for her to proceed to the stage, etc. There's no way in hell all of those issues could have been changed from whatever they initially were for such a huge event (that is broadcast live) at the last minute. It's tied too tight because she never thought to factor what she intended to wear into the dress rehearsal. They never tried it out it to see if it would even work. That's why it happened.
@@christianjones5891 There is no way Madonna didn't try that out in rehearsals first. It was just a mistake-shit happens sometimes! The point is she carried on and nobody was fired!😆
@@christianjones5891 oh God, where you there? You know it all... this stages are very complex and they could have had a side entrance. She didnt pass any bucket. She took it upon herself. Stop the hating. Geez
Yes she did. Even as the lyrics of the song matched her predicament. 😂 . I think, regardless of people’s thoughts on Madonna (she is very polarizing), she tries as hard as she can to put a great performance, and if she stumbles, she’ll carry on.
Man I would’ve been flat on my back the whole performance. It’s amazing she carried on so well. Not a lot of people would have been able to recover like that after getting dragged by their neck, back flat down a flight of stairs. Eek!
I was horrified when this happened. I love Madonna so much and I hate that this happened to her, but I'm super proud of her for finishing the performance. Plus, I love this song very much! ❤️❤️👍👍👏👏
I LOVE Madonna and watched this live and I was also horrified. Immediately I thought "OMG she won't be able to go tour for Rebel Heart!" I couldn't believe she got back up and finished. And after all those Rebel Heart leaks, all I thought at the end was "This bitch is gonna go on tour!" And she did and it was amazing. 🕺💜🕺
@@AyushKumar-en5lxBy "negativity", do you mean bringing attention to the auto-tuned vocals that somehow still managed to be out of tune? Well...it's a singing performance. That means the intention is to engage both sound AND sight, so separating the two isn't the point or purpose of the performance. That being said, it was an abysmal vocal delivery, which made it very difficult to get into (if you can hear). What's so bad is that there are folks either making excuses for it, or trying to avoid even mentioning how bad they were. I'm a Madonna fan, but I'm also a realist. Her primary responsibility as a singer is to sing. Madonna even thought her vocals were lacking, and did some post-production on the vocals before re- uploading the clip herself. She could have made it easier for us to see that message that you speak of by making sure nothing detracted from that message.
Yes, I think the same but the coreo was okay for me. There is an unplugged, "Madonna - Mother & Father (Live Acoustic 2003) " and her voice sounds so beautiful here. This is my suggestion if you like to react to her :)
@@Marc-zi5cq me too , when she put the focus in her voice sounds so sweet , even at 64 year old . at madame x tour she sings so sweet to because she put the focus in her voice cause she cant dance as usual.
She said in an interview that originally the cape had magnets from the bottom to the top but the cape was so heavy that the magnets kept pulling apart so they decided to tie it with lace at the neck, unfortunately instead of a bow it went into a double knot so when she pulled the lace it tightened the knot hence the cloak didn't fall off. She said to Ellen that she can't even watch it because she's such a perfectionist and was totally embarrassed.
If she had pretended that the fall was part of the show, I would’ve believed it. The lyrics just matched perfect with the fall. We deserve more reactions to Madonna live performances! Since you’re a vocal coach you should react to her performances live on the Ellen show, she performed Ghostown, Joan of Arc
I thought this was a quite remarkable performance from her. Talk about the ultimate professional. Some pretty great vocals. Unbelievable professionalism.
Accident happened. Fortunately, she was OK and didn't break her hips or knees. She was still able to pull off her performance after that big fall. So amazing to watch.
Madonna not only suffered back injuries but was performing with a pretty bad concussion. She incredibly makes a comeback. She is the true epitome of an artist.
NO, she did NOT suffer a concussion! She talked about the fall during numerous interviews afterwards, and she said that she was sore for a day or 2, but she was more embarrassed than injured. No back injuries, no concussion! Do your homework before making false comments in the future, OK!?!!!
Quite honestly.... I miss the Rebel Heart album era... when this aired the hype for her... and the hysteria when she performed... I don't think any of us fans recovered... at 56 she NAILED it better than most younger than her.... pure showmanship... something i have missed for the Madame X era :( ... this was showmanship, great song, great performance and despite odds against her she came back on top... gutted that the album just missed the top spot too... it deserved it!
I dont know if you was in a show in a theatre , I have the priviledge to se her in front row and was the best tour of her , very human, so close to us and how she cant dance a lot for her injuries she sing all live and focused in her voice and performance .
This performance is iconic just in how she gets back back up. People, not you, Georgina, can diss her for many things but no-one can deny the power of her determination.
I was watching this performance on tv and I immediately thought it was part of the coreography then I realized. Could you make a video about her new album " madame x", please?
This shows the power of rehearsal - she was able to pick up and get back to it because she had rehearsed so well - Madonnas discipline in rehearsing so well is her greatest strength. I'm sure she has had plenty of falls and so on in rehearsals and other shows so she is no stranger to picking herself up . I think it is a good idea to always do a rehearsal where things go wrong so you are prepared for a unexpected performance and so you don't get thrown off if there is a problem. I love Madonna but have to admit this is one of her songs that does nothing for me.
1) This is one of my fave Madonna songs, 2) They blamed Giorgio Armani who designed the cloak, but he came out and said they wanted him to make it with a tie and he said no. He made it with a hook closure but her wardrobe people went ahead and put a tie on it anyway. At the time he said she was "very difficult" and blamed her for the malfunction. 3) What a trooper and what a pro! Not many people would've recovered from that as well as she did.
Unfortunately Madonna is always out of breath in every semi-demanding live song. Even the lightest bit of dance can get her short of breath when she sings.
@@AWhileHanlin Did you not see her react to Madonna's best live vocals. You're clearly ignorant and delusional to say she can't sing when you don't know anything. And her singing here was mediocre, not bad.
It's such an underrated song !!!!! Living for love is a fab song and didn't chart that much. I dunno why. This performance shows why Madonna is the Queen. Not many others would manage this. BTW the song is NOT a devil song !!! It's a love song about broken love and carrying on. Despite the hurt !!!!!! Thank you for doing Madonna again. I would love for you to do some of Madam X.
I remember watching this as it happened, we were waiting to see Madonna perform, when she fell first we gasped😱..then we yelled at her to GET UP!! 🗣 Then we cheered for her being such a trooper!!✊ 😂 still the queen!!❌
She’s singing about guy Ritchie. Whatever happened in the last years of her marriage with him was a trauma that she has never been able to shake. That dude took something from the world
I think it’s bloody brilliant a 56 year old woman fell, banged her head, got up on live TV and carried on singing live and doing complex choreography! Her vocals aren’t great though, although i do like the gutsy “I’m gonna CARRY ON”; it gained new meaning after the fall! Wasn’t sure about her new album, now loving quite a few of the tracks. Definitely a grower.
She sang this same song a few weeks earlier on the Grammys and somebody tried to ridicule her by removing the music and leaving only her voice (like somebody did to Mariah Carey) but they couldn´t because even without music her voice sounded great. With no accident she did such a great performance. You should react to this :D
In Russia people have noticed on the day of Madonna's fall Carlos Leon and his wife welcomed their son (see IMDB). So, considering Spanish roots of her Cuban ex-partner and father of her daughter, the song was interpreted as a revenge song on Carlos.
I like the unique way in which you tackle the song and deliver your opinion. So much of the same thing on YT, it's hard to find anything worthwhile. What particularly struck me was the way that even you were glued to the screen with her performance. It's insane how she can pull one's attention to become absolutely transfixed. I think this anthem speaks generally to the themes of heartbreak, strength, adversity, resilience. And who is the one deserving to be sacked for that damn cape? GIORGIO ARMANI. This song and all of its performances has quickly become one of my favorites. It resonates deeply, both lyrically and visually, embodying the spirit of overcoming personal betrayal and adversity. Initially, I wondered whom the song might be addressing. Considering Madonna’s history, it seemed unlikely to be about Guy Ritchie, who has already been the muse for much of her previous work. This song, however, stands out as a declaration of self-empowerment and healing. The lyrics speak to me of rising above challenges and finding strength in vulnerability. There's a sense of taking it easier on oneself and persisting through hardships without succumbing to further abuse or self-pity. This message is powerfully echoed in the gospel-like voice and robust chorus of the song, reinforcing the theme of triumphing over difficulty with an unyielding spirit and grace. It teaches us to emerge from our struggles stronger and more determined, a message that I find particularly inspiring. This song’s ability to repeatedly convey this theme, amidst its almighty chorus, showcases Madonna’s enduring talent to inspire through music.
^-^ I think it's a good thing that the lyrics matched what happened, because she could play it up as basically a part of the performance. I bet it hurt real bad though and she's trying not to show it. Thanks for another great video. Can you please react to Roisin Murphy performing ( Overpowered is a really good song)? Nobody ever seems to notice her but her voice is unique and she's incredible. ^^' Take care.
The string for the cape was tied around her neck tighter than it was supposed to be in order to make up for the long distance she had to walk with it before she reaches the stage, and on a cue the dancers were to rip the cape back off of her but because they tied it tighter last minute and she wasn't able to untie it before they yanked it off, pulling her down too.
Loved This performance! Amazing dance breaks. This was a great single. I still sing it often. Living for love, living for love!!! PS. I think she’s Singing about Brahmin, who was her young boyfriend/dancer during the MDNA tour
This is new music and you were just not ready. What makes an artist is not it's voice. Millions of people can sing very well, yet that doesn't makes them an artist. Artis is that who compose, expresses and creates music. That is what madonna is successful for. She has created classics for lifetime.
Hello from Australia! Just gotta say you're such a beautiful, genuine lady. I've hit depression really bad and have just found your channel however gotta say thankyou for giving me so much hope and light. Harlow. X
Have you heard it? Like really? Don't have any problem with Madonna, but seriously why are the "super" fans always loving every single thing she does. The production of Madame X is horrible, like literally horrible. Not saying every song isn't good, but the production of the album is just awful... BUT it's Madonna so it's a masterpiece. Stupid af. 😅🤷🏻♀️
Good day :) I guess this song is about Brahim Zaibat, her ex french boy friend, who used to dance for her during the MDNA Tour. By listening to her songs from Rebel Heart, he used her for fame, to make his own name, being famous... and he left, asking her to be friends... I think that even if her vocals are shaky, this performance shows that even though you are falling, you can still carry on and be amazing! Madonna is not the best vocalist but she knows how to put on a show!
How would you're voice be after a fall like that. At least she had the balls to get up and finish the set where as other singers younger artists would have left the stage in tears.
I think you should have pointed out when mentioning her out of breath at times that it probably had to do with just recovering from that nasty fall. I think it’s incredible she did as well as she did after how bad that fall looked. I’d have been scared out of my mind if I was the one that tied the cape, I bet she went offffff about it!!
Performing is soooooo much more than singing.IIt's about a message and MADONNA delivers all the time. An instrument is nothing if it dosen't carries a message. She use a cape during the intire rebel heart tour, just to prove one more time that she overcomes everything and does it with stile and no fear, and that's the message to all, that fear only makes you a stronger version of your self ones you show that it will not stop you ever. Please learn from MADONNA. The world needs more artists like her.
Madonna is an entertainer singer.no one can do what she s doing. You will never see show like hers with Mariah ,Celine Adele etc etc because these kind of singers are performers and giving it all to that
Madonna explained on Jonathan Ross that the problem was with two of her "lovely dancers" who made an error, due to last minute choreography changes. She's didn't blame them, and no one was sacked :-)
She was singing about her ex boyfriend who was a dancer on her tour and they were together for a few years and she broke up with him cause she found out that her dancer was sleeping with her female gym trainer
Lol Well that dancer who was her boyfriend was like 23 or something... What did she expect? Did she really think he was going to be dating a 50 year old woman for the rest of his life? ;)
Georgina, I love the things you say like "what the fuuuuh" & "let's dive in!" in a funny voice. You are hilarious! You must be a wonderful Mother & friend!
