This young man, from the age of 7, grew up on the streets in the Philippines. He has had no vocal traning period. He larned the parts by listening to recordings, singing in English nd Italian. He doesn't speak either lnguage as his first language and he speaks Englis so poorly that he needs an interpreter to truly carry on an English conversation. His singing capabilities are truely a 'Gift from God'. At this time he is married and is a father!. Kudos to this fine young man!

Marcelito is filipino and he is singing in english and italian which he does not speak, he learned by listening to Celine sing so he has a bit of french in his english I think he is amazing. never had a lesson and he also sings in Chinese.

He never had any training since he was homeless before..I live in the same small town as him and he is one of the most humble person I know..I would sometimes see him walking on the street and he would always help those that would reach out to him too..

I am grateful for your reaction to Marcelito Pomoy. I, too, as a self-taught singer, am going to give you a reaction to your reaction. All coaches have the same defect when it comes to analyzing others. I'm not saying that the technique is bad, simply that the personal characteristics and experiences make you do things that the technique itself will never do. Naturalness is neither taught nor captured. In any case, if you look on the internet you will see many songs that Marcelito Pomoy sings in very different tonalities. Humility must be learned or as this singer has it in his heart.

Ok so I've watched almost every reaction video of this performance, literally 100s...and I have to say, you are probably only the 2nd person to acknowledge that's not only is he doing two parts..but two languages...what's even more impressive is he doesn't even speak English or Italian...so well done 😊

Right on...he sang 7 songs in what was downloaded in a concert he did at Casino Manila and he sang in 7 different voices!!! Check out Filipino songs Pagbabalik and Aasa Sa Awa Mo Ama as well as You Raise Me Up and Perfect to hear his natural singing voice. Oh, don't forget What Kind of Fool Am I...that's another treat altogether.

Just FYI, Marcelito is from the Philippines. At the time he recorded "The Prayer", he didn't speak English OR Italian. He was singing phonetically.

Hi beautiful Zara!!!! Tnx for appreciating Marcelito's God Given Raw Talent. He had no vocal training but won the Pilipinas Got Talent in 2011. Pilipino Singers on the WishBus, (a real Bus roaming about the city for the Fans to see their fave singers) of course are sitting while singing, which is really a bad posture, but Pilipinos are used to sing while sitting because most homes have their own Karaoke Machine (we call it Videoke) and they sing while having some drinks and funfares. Afterall, a Pilipino first Patented the Karaoke in 1975, no wonder almost every home, Bars, Restaurants and in every nook and cranny of the Philippines you'll hear people singing on Videoke. Pls continue and discover the real Raw Talents of Pilipino Artists and you'll be amazed of how they perform, be it locally of internationally even if 90% of them are not vocally trained, only self-taught. They're all over YT, like Morissette, Katrina Velarde, 4th Impact, KZ Tandingan, and Jona Viray to name a few, so many I can't enumerate all their names. BTW. Zara you look much younger and beautiful with your hair down.

Zara, I love your smile with that gorgeous face too. I assume that you are also a MODEL. At any rate, I like you candid reaction to Marcelito who never had any vocal training at all. He can't even speak English as I understand he got to the 3rd grade only before he spent few years in prison as his father was in prison then. So what his mother did to take care of his sick father in prison she got all her kids with them in prison too, all together. But later the mother decided to have him stay with some family. He later run away and was homeless, surviving by doing odd jobs and sleep in any place he can get some rest. Later on he got a job in a chicken farm and started singing to the chickens in male and female voices. The rest is history. Watching from Illinois USA: 06-17-2021.

Marcelito The power of Love he was on America's got talent he sang several different songs he won Philippines got talent in 2011 for singing a duet of the prayer he is married now has a three-year-old daughter is there any chance at the daughter could inherit any of these traits and singing he is self-taught never had a singing lessons he was on the streets a lot of his life

ok thank you thank you for being the first vocal coach reaction, finally!, that actually talk about the singers strength and weaknesses in terms of vocal techniques and skills. Most VC reactions are useless. Most times they have the same reaction as normal people and not really critiquing anything about the vocal skills/techniques of the singer. Marcelito is AMAZING!
