The song is about finding happiness in their journey to non-binarity. From a masculine nemo surrounded by panicking passengers to a more true versions with no distractions and only them dancing and being happy. Truly beautiful just like your reactions Georgina

i think the party car is about seeing how everyone around you is happy but you still can't find your true self in the same environment as them, so you feel overwhelmed by everyone

I’ve met Nemo a couple of times - my sister used to be together with another Swiss musician/producer who worked with Nemo back when they did only Swiss German rap. Nemo was a teenager at the time, and my sister, who is a professional singing teacher herself, described them as very talented. It’s impressive to see how much they developed in the intervening ~7 years!

Switzerland is my ABSOLUTE favorite, it's so good. The voice, the lyrics aren't too boring, the mix of pop, rap and opera and the originality without being a crash test or a pisstake song. I love this song so much and I really hope it wins! I've seen a lot of songs I like but this one is just above, imo.

Please spare your praise for this unhonest voice clown. She is not honest, she changes her clips due to changing reactions. She is no rock in the waves: 3 years ago, shortly before Italy won, she told that the Italian entrance was unsuitible for this contest, inpropiate and that everyone should sing in English. She got protests and immidiately removed her clip and praising the later winner. She sucks.

I am a gay man in the US with a multi-racial family, three languages and cultures. I just want to point out the song is about more than gender. If you zoom out it speaks to universal feelings - I don’t fit in one box. People are making me choose sides. People assume things about me. I need to figure out who I am. And that is why the song is beautiful & timely. All the more so with computer references, either 0 or 1. Humanity is not a computer algorithm and that is why we should embrace it.

Thats what i think about it. Nemo means with "Break the code" to be Nemo self, to be a nonbinary sexual, to have a better life not be scared about it, to let everyone know. I love the song.

Moldova 2022 was the country which presented a video clip on train. Switzerland 🇨🇭 this year is incredible. I'd keep listening to this til the code is broken 😂

I always watch your videos and what a nice surprise to see Nemo on here, I know them through work and friends and they are incredible. The Code is a reference to Binary which is made of 0 and 1. So when they say "somewhere between the 0 and 1" they are refering to being non-binary. Some background on Nemo. With about 15 they won a talent show in Switzerland and got big in the pop genre but they are also a freestyle rapper. The song is challenging but Nemo can hit those high notes live. I'm excited to see my country represented with this song.

As much as Gjon’s Tears was the best performance we had in a while, he was praised very high by the critics but not the regular audience and i could relate to why. I think this one may be the biggest chance for switzerland to win Since the last time they won because yout got all you need to please the critics but also enough to please the regular audience. And as we all know from the last view years, you need both to win

The whole song is a masterpiece. Nemo is non-binary and breaking 'the code' refers to them breaking the gender binary and roles. I absolutely love the lyrics, especially the reference to binary as 0s and 1s. Along with how good their vocals are too I'm sure it'll be amongst the favourites in May 🙌

I appreciate your perspective on vocal quality. With so much technology & production, it is important that we realize the human voice matters. I saw a video of Nemo doing this live and interview after. He is out of breath. This is athletic. The tempo changes, the range of notes & mood…The emotion and movement you need to perform this live and connect with an audience… And he achieved all that. This is Olympic gold medal.

I think cinematically they lifted part of the concept from the 2011 movie "Source Code" which had Jake Gyllenhaal as a Captain who is sent into an eight-minute digital re-creation of a real-life train explosion that keeps repeating.

Nemo has said that the song is about their realisation of their non-binary identity. I think that comes across the most explicitly in the line, "Somewhere between the 0s and 1s, that's where I found my kingdom come".

I love this one, too. It's hard to pick a favorite this year! Fyi, it seems "Gjon" in Gjon's Tears is pronounced like John (no extra vowels, and while the Gj consonant may sound subtly different in Albanian, when he's introduced himself in English interviews it just sounds like John to me. I was surprised!).

It's so weird to me that you have to explain why you "chop it up" at 05:00. I see these kinds of comments and HEY VIEWERS? CAN YOU CHILL? Like she says, you can watch the full video on the Eurovision channel, but this is a reaction and creators have to work around copyright. I sometimes see comments like "she talks too much" - WHY ARE YOU HERE? :D

The code in this song is binary code! ("Somewhere between the 0s and 1s, that where I found my kingdom come"), its about Nemo (who goes by they/them pronouns) finding their identity as non-binary, saying they don't fit into the 0s and 1s (Man or woman) but rather somewhere in between!

The 0s and 1s are the key to figuring the code metaphor out 😊 because those are numbers used in binary code and Nemo identifies as non-binary, hence breaking the code

Personally, it doesn't remind me of Annie Lennox but the singer from Moldova, she really does remind me of her voice quite a lot.... Interesting song we have this year from Switzerland though.

Somehow (although the two songs have almost nothing in common other than both of them taking place on a train) This song reminds me of a widely known and adored song in Greece called 'Traino'(Train) where the artist Anna vissi (a legendary Greek female vocalist) nailed her chest/mixed voice, whilst here we have Switzerland's performer this year nailing his head voice. I'd say it's an interesting vocal contrast in my opinion(I'd also recommend reacting to Anna vissi as long as you don't mind the songs being sung in Greek 😅)
