This one’s honestly tough to judge because of the subpar audio quality at the selection. They haven’t released the studio version either despite it having been a couple of weeks already, so who knows, there might be big changes coming. He sounds like a pretty skilled vocalist to me, so the band’s got that going for them. Might have missed some things tonally, but dealing with that sound setup, the strained tone may have been intentional. If he was aiming for loudness then maybe it was just that.
Finally San Marino had multiple good songs to choose from in terms of qualification chance and they picked this... Still can't get over the fact that they won over Le Deva. I think I'm done with San Marino after this, sorry for that.
I'm still to this day waiting for them to release a studio version because I have no idea how it actually is supposed to sound. The production quality in the Sammarinese studio was horrible
His vocals aren't even that bad in my opinion, he has a decent tone and a good range, but he really has to work on his technique. The song I'm sorry is quite dreadful
I mean they’re dead last on MyEurovisionScoreboard and #32 in the odds at the moment so I don’t think you’re off base here at all. Una Voce per San Marino is usually a slog but apparently it was brutal this year and folks are still confused as to how this won. One of the few acts which wasn't ruined by overexcited production and vocals ruined by singers coming second to dancers and pyros. But then it's not a song competition anymore so what does the quality of vocals matter?
Yes unfortunately it wasn't the best choice but it seems they hadn't any good choices anyways. Maybe they have some kind of revamp and deliver it good on stage
The singer is very attractive in my opinion and his smile and charisma is great...so great that i forget to listen to the song ^^ but he can sing and has a interesting voice....but the song itself is too mediocre for ESC...but somehow i like it...very strange for me ^^
Sounded like it was recorded over the phone terrible quality just doesn't connect at all. He sounds constipated. I can't believe samarino have put this video out to demonstrate the song. Awful
The song's fine, it's nothing special, but it's not offensive in any way either. It's just very middle-of-the-road and forgettable. With the way he puts his entire face into it, I think the closed sound is a stylistic choice and I kinda think it's working for him. Just not enough to boost these guys. Good luck with your surgery!
Hard to tell if he really believes this macho rock star beast role he is adopting, or whether there is irony behind it. Either way it is low-concept for Eurovision.
He could have charisma if he relaxed maybe. Perhaps the nerves got to him. Let's hope he brings a better performance on the night. I think it's catchy but will only work and get votes if he ups his game as the front man. Interesting comment on tightness of vocals. I do like it, but not as much as other band entries after hearing it a few times. We shall see....
The problem with this is the sound quality, and that the song is not too memorable, his singing is okay, just have problems with the two above. It's the reason why it's my last place for now...
