A great song, with impeccable vocals. For me one of the best songs of the Eurovisions. Second only; in my opinion to the Icelandic entry (Ten years) This Portuguese entry would be great as a theme song for a James Bond film.

I think that's the main point that separates every Portuguese entry from everybody else. We don't care about points, we care about music quality. I know that imitating chickens gives you a lot of points but, it's not Portugal's thing.

Few people know that RTP accepts other language only since 2017. Although there was a lot of insertion of parts in English in songs in previous editions. Right in 2017 there were 3 songs interely in English, and this eyear 3 again, so I think this people shock is ridículous

This song is vastly under-rated. It's a great song & that voice is sheer heaven. I start listening to it & the 3 minutes fly past. Portugal has been fantastic for the last few years, ever since 2017, & they always send very original songs. They were robbed in 2019 & weren't put through to the final. I hope they're not robbed this year.

As portuguese thanks a lot for your kind comments on our song. What most people look for in Eurovision is fast pop, fireworks and glitter and don't even pay attention to the voice. Quality over quantity. Just because you are taking such a different song is not of interest for lots of people.

Dear Georgina, thank you for this reaction video. I have been waiting impatiently to hear your opinion on the portuguese song. I share your point of view. This song has an impressive quality that goes from the beautiful instrumental to the singer's phenomenal voice. I don't know about televoting, but I believe Portugal will do very well with the national juries. This is real music made with passion and professionalism. Besides, Love Is On My Side stands out in the middle of so many uptempo songs.

I agree with you, Georgina. His voice is outstanding, super soulful. The song is very pleasant, even if it doesn't sound like a winner, supposedly. I much prefer this, or Slovenia 's song, to that boring song from Sweden (which of course will get higher score because they invest a lot of money in the staging, to compensate!).

Uma música como deve ser a representar Portugal, a concorrer com as "pops" do costume, que com mesma sonoridade. Força Black mamba vamos a eles. Força Portugal 😀 A primeira vez que a ouvi na televisão, fui surpreendido pela positiva...fica no "ouvido", dei por mim quando a música acabou, a cantarolar o refrão durante mais um pouco ! A song as it should be to represent Portugal, to compete with the usual "pops", which are allways, the same sonority. Go Black Mamba let's go to them. I have this one pretty low, though not as low as most people have it. I like the vibe and his vocals, it is just a little bit repetitive in the chorus but that doesn't bother me as much as it seems for other people. This is a song that I have to be in the mood for but when I am, it's simply lovely. I love the story behind it too! Great video Georgina!

The chorus is not quite so repetitive as the italian music was. Was a great music, a prove that the rock n' roll still alive. But, and we have a big but in here, for Eurovision everything that goes off pop music will have big problems to win, the luck of the Italian music was the public vote. Eurovision is to pop for my taste, it looks like the programation of the portuguese television on a Sunday afternoon, but better looking because the pop of Eurovision is singed in Inglish. And of corse the judges of Eurovision evaluate the musics in lyrics, performance, and show, and if you go there without a great show behind you, in a simple actuation you will not get the score. The Portuguese music is not so repetitie as lot of them was, they are not pop, they are a soul/jazz band, with bohemic inspirations, they are different from the rest of them, and they had great performance on stage, Tatanka was incredible, and of corse the rest of the band. I will say this, i know that music was the favorite but the Portuguese music was superior to Swiss music. My top 3 was: 1- Finland; 2- France; 3- Portugal.

Congratulations nce review. These guys can really play and sing, awesome energy, I had the great pleasure of seeing them Live in Teatro Circo/Braga/Portugal, it gives you shills… This is really as they are, not a just a show for Eurovision, Great Job guys, I hope they win, but honestly and more important, I hope this gives them the opportunity to show all the world how good they are.

My favourite performance. He plays with voice and he knows how to do it. I watched few other songs and that's his style. Really keeping my fingers crossed for them. Finally something different.

Mamba here in Portugal means like... partner, o friends for life.... For exemple: "I'm going out with my mambos" it's like I'm going out with my bros or friends. So they are The Black Mambas :) I'm so proud of my country really.
