When Madeline was singing, it was like you could just see her soft pallet raising in the early “do” that still had a closed mouth. Very good control.

I liked your comment about loving the rasp in his voice. I dont have a raspy voice when I speak, but when I sing (as healthfully as possible) I have a rasp. What advice or comments do you have about a natural rasp to work with it or clear it up and make sure you're singing healthy as well?

You should watch some Chris Leipe. He's a really good teacher too. And he works with raspy voices. Also, even though I've never heard it, I like your voice. Make art, my friend!

I would still really love to hear your reactions to the Newfangled Four barbershop quartet. They're a bit inside jokey but they sound great and are hilarious. I'm changing my recommendation though to be either their "Gaston" parody or their "Settle for Me" parody. They're found on the channel Barbershop Harmony Society along with many other fantastic Quartets and choirs.
