Lin Manuel Miranda threw it out of the stadium with the music. The lyrics and beats are really cool, also the choreos inside the movie are more like theater dance than cartoon

I really recommend listening to the other Encanto songs as well! Lots of people have already talked about Surface Pressure and The Family Madrigal, but my personal favorite is What Else Can I Do.

Just watch the movie!!! It’s brilliant and touching and insanely detailed. You could do a movie reaction, and take the song portions from your watch to post separately if you prefer. All the songs are bangers, but SO much better in context.

To answer some questions and give you a bit of context, Bruno is the uncle of Mirabel (the girl with glasses, who's voiced by Stephanie Beatriz, Rosa from Brooklyn 99) and the brother of Pepa (the aunt who controls the weather in the beginning). His power is that he can basically see and predict the future. The other guy following Pepa is her husband Félix. The girl who sings like she's whispering is Dolores, Mirabel's cousin and Pepa and Félix's daughter, she has super hearing (which is probably why she talks so low). Since you thought her voice was familiar, that's Adassa, queen of reggaeton, who's on Spotify. The guy who follows after her is her brother Camillo, who can shapeshift. The girl swinging on vines is Mirabel's older sister Isabela, she can grow flowers and plants out of thin air. She is voiced by Crazy Jane from the Doom Patrol series. You can watch "The Family Madrigal" to get all the context you need. The thing is, Bruno is actually not evil, he's a really nice guy. He is the definition of "Don't shoot the messenger!", cuz he only tells people what WILL or COULD happen, and they blame him for it.

Violence in Colombia is a very big issue, which continues to be experienced to this day. In the grandmother's past we can see Forced Displacement. Colombia is the country with the most internally displaced people in the world. 10. And the flower parade. Ik that u already mentioned the biodiversity but, flowers are almost an icon as well as the parades of the “silleteros” or the flower’s parade, something very traditional here. Bruno is the uncle to mirabel and brother to pepa and julieta he is the black sheep of the family because of his powers of future predictions his predictions arent always good and they can mean multiple things and can go in several directions so it's not always clear he is the shortest one out of the triplets but he is kind caring and loving towards his family he can get nervous and fumble on his words and a bit eccentric but he is good
