We are already getting several requests to react to a live version of this song as this reaction is of the MV only. However, **SPOILER ALERT** we freakin' love this song so much that we will be more than happy to do a second reaction to the live performance as well!!
Ahh there's so many good lives! I think his live at iHeartRadio is really good, because he switches the way he sings it due to the live band, *Not sure if thats a spoiler lol* but would love to hear a vocal breakdown of that performance and the different techniques he used vs what was displayed in the MV. Just a thought! Edit - Came back cause I cant choose 😭 the TSX stage really shows off his vocal stability especially with choreo - whichever you pick theyll both be great
Thank you Richard & Johnny! You guys are awesome! You will really see how talented and amazing JK is singing live while dancing in the TSX mini concert! He shows Standing Next to You performance is very taxing and does require great stamina. His versatility in sing Yes & No and the other songs also shows how well he tone clarity and beautiful pitch.
JK worked with Western producers this time for this album. He took part in the whole album production. This album is not his personal stories. He said in one of his interviews he wants to express different stories through his voice and experiment. He always liked pop songs and had an image of Pop Star in his mind. Through this album he became a Global Pop Star. He made it look easy but he worked really hard on his English. He improved a lot. His live performances are SOOOOOO GOOD. You must watch those. He is inspiring. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
i agree excpet that jungkook said he gave the producers and songwriters ideas on how he wanst his songs and album to be. jk sais he talked to them during video conferencing alot during those period. he psrticipated a lot on the preparation and production process. but i agree with you., also jungkook is already a pop star since left and right. forbes and other forei8gn media like billboard gave him the main pop boy pop hitmaker. plus jungkook performed live at fifa world cup..
Yes, I think people has some wrong ideas, he didn’t participate in the production of the album, he wasn’t the producers. But he participated in giving ideas for the direction of the album, it’s not the same as being the producer of the songs and album
It's amazing that this song was recorded the day after Seven!! He was shown it, liked it, could imagine his performing it, and so he learned it overnight, after recording Seven, and managed to give this vocal performance the next day to a completely new song to him! He is astoundingly good!
The fact that Jung kook recorded this song after seven and practice this only one night and next day recorded for 4 hours without edit makes it more masterpiece, jk is a LIT GOLDEN for a reason , I can’t really wait to hear what you say about his GOLDEN album and HIS LIVE vocals and Performance. If you are a singer and real performers you know you know lol
9:50 - For the Golden album, JK chose to accept songs instead of writing them himself. I think growing up with the rapline, who wrote their own songs, he thought that you had to write your own songs for them to be good. Many of the songs he wrote are for ARMY, but at this moment he has nothing new to say. So rather than forcing himself to write, he chose to leave the songwriting to the experts and accept songs from them. Although JK was not involved in the songwriting, the album is the result of his vision. He chose the theme (he purposely chose "love"), he chose the songs, he wanted to do a variety of genres. And having seen the recording process of some BTS songs (there's one of him recording "Euphoria", how he added layers of harmonies and adlibs), I'm sure he gave his input in those recording sessions. Well, it seems there will be a documentary about the making of "Golden", so we'll get to see him in action. 14:30 - Yes, lyrics is one of the main reasons BTS is so popular. Their meaningful lyrics draw people to listen to songs outside their preferred genres. For example, "Jack in the Box" is not the style of music I usually listen to, but J-hope's lyrics and concept and message makes me fall in love with the album. Suga's rap style was the hardest for me to get into, but as I listen to more and more of his music, he eventually became my bias.
Kookie! Yes! I can't wait to watch the reaction. After JK recorded "Seven", Andrew Watt offered to show him other songs he'd been working on and JK liked this one. He said he would practice it so he would be ready to record the next day. He recorded the whole song in four hours. --Suchwita, ep. 21
Yess! Jungkook really was incredible here. A literal global pop star. He actually didn’t have a hand in writing this song - for this album, he chose to receive songs from outside producers/songwriters so he actually didn’t write any song in the album. He did choose the general concept of singing love songs and chose the tracklist etc, but wanted to put his energy into focusing more on his vocal delivery, the English pronunciation and the performance. You must have heard by now, but jk, jimin, v and rm are all enlisting together by the end of the year, so he would have known that this was one of his last promotions before leaving, and really put his all into it. (Very excited to see your guests come back for the Busan opening songs!)
There’s a lot that you have missed: -iHeart Radio -The Today Show -Jimmy Fallon, The Tonight Show -The Official Dance Choreography MV -The Official Dance Practice -The Audacy -Numerous interviews & variety show performances; and the best so far… -Time Square Free Concert -The Golden Live Performance -Jung Kook (57): 'GOLDEN, BTS Reunion, & Connection with ARMY | Apple Music We’ll be waiting for your reactions. Thank you💜
We're all do proud of our Golden youngest! Out of this world performer, he's truly a global pop star! The song is amazing and he delivered every single performance exquisitely. I'm so happy seeing you guys enjoying it so much! 💜💜💜💜
This is Jungkook's triumph. JK has done many covers of other singers songs. Have you listened to his version of Harry Styles Falling, or Let There Be Love from Oasis, which he sang on the BBC's Live Lounge. Showing off his exquisite voice and sensitivity.
I'm so proud of my bias, he did so well with this song and golden is a majestic masterpiece!!! His vocals and the choreography is absolutely brilliant!!!!
His live at Times Square is MUST! His vocals with dancing, his karisma is on point! This song makes me feel like I’m witnessing something great in music history and his whole Times Square performance made me feel same way💜
Yes, Time Square was awesome of course. The dancing was on point as well. Unfortunately the audio quality was not as good as other performance. But there’s so many good ones to choose from
Jungkook’s live iHeartRadio performance of this song is fantastic - his vocals, dancing and stage presence are mesmerising. Then there’s his remix performance of this song with Usher - such talent all round. 🙏🏻🇦🇺
this song is sooooo soooo good, that i can listen to it every day and not get tired of it.. there’s no right or wrong approach to the bts rabbit hole, just let it flow.. we will watch no matter what.. and we really enjoy your insights every reaction.. 💜
The song is american made. Mainly by Andrew Watt (written & produced), but also written by Henry Walter, Ali Tamposi and Jon Bellion & co-produced by Cirkut. Jungkook said in an interview he didn't have much to say or write, so he chose to go with pop songs from the western hemisphere. Which is why there's songs on the Golden album by Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes and other american writers/producers.
When I need to get out of the doldrums, I watch a BTS reaction by my favorite reactors. I’m am past 70, widowed, love r&b and BTS is who are not only R&B but so many other genres with meaningful lyrics) Richard and Johnny, you are definitely one of them. Thank You.
Thank you guys for watching and reacting to this masterpiece. We knew you'd love it just as much as Army does! Love you guys, ❤ so thankful I was recommended one of your BTS videos a few months ago! Your journey is so exciting to watch. Can't wait for more! Oh and did I hear you say the Busan Concert was on deck?!? 🙏 I'm there! 💯🎶💜 Thanks again guys! Take care! 🫶💜
Jungkook did incredible on SNTY. And live? Oh he gets on a other level. The iheart radio was awesome as it was him alone with a live band. The NY time square one was BRILLIANT. He did 5 songs from Golden. He was on fire. Incandescent. Golden has no skip, an incredible album.
Richard/Johnny: will you guys also be watching a live version of his performance? I recommend either TSX (Time Square performance) or IHeart performance. Thx!
You asked about song credits. SNTY was produced by Andrew Watt & Cirkut. Writers are Andrew Watt, Henry Walter, Al Tamposi, and Jon Bellion, who has written other songs that JK has performed.
JK did many wonderful live performances of this song, but one of my favorite is the one at iHeart Radio with a live band and without dancers. I hope you watch that.
I really suggest not just the MV but also the fallon performance and the choreography video and if there is time then the times square performance; I know it's probably recorded already but you could always do another live reaction 🙈🙈🙈
This is a masterpiece from Jungkook the vocals the choreo the visuals he’s really genius artist 💜 I enjoy watching this for the 10000000 time with you. I’m so proud of him JK is The *Global Pop star* fr. Great reaction guys thanx 🫶🏻
i love your videos bc you bring so much knowledge to the frame. jk has never pretended to be a songwriter or producer (although he does that sometimes) but he's definitely an MJ style pop star and its really cool to see
1) YES to bringing back Saya to react with you to the 3 first songs of the Busan concert 2) For his album "Golden", Jungkook chose songs among those that were proposed to him. The whole album is a lesson in pop music.
Google who wrote this...they deserve so much praise for writing this song. I didn't see JK's name but he's the one who brought this to life. Kudos to his dancers also!
I am super happy & excited that you reacted to this amazing song by our global pop star JK. This song was actually composed/produced by Grammy award winners tandem of Andrew Watt, Cirkut, Jon Bellion… same team that composed/produced JK’s song, Seven. You probably have heard of them since they’re well known in the American music industry. 💜💜💜
This blew away all the other singles Jungkook had released. Pure pop gold and visually candy. He had the top choreographers in the world as his backup dancers, the sheer flex in that. And he stands out amount those top dancers in a ridiculously tricky choreography and sings live doing it!!! Flex flex prince of pop here.
Finally!!!!! I literally had a huge 😮😮😮😮 reaction upon seeing this post. I've been waiting for your reaction like forever, as I deemed your opinions to be the most credible ones (no offense to the other reactors), but I'm talking about, from a musical standpoint, the whole shebang of this.
Thank you for your wonderful reaction. It's amazing to see more people appreciating the artistry of our Golden Maknae, Jungkook. I hope you consider reacting to the entire GOLDEN album. Each song offers a unique genre, and I'm sure you'll find something to love in each one.
I still think your chronological plan was a great idea but the Busan concert intro was also my first suggestion for you.😀 I think you can kind of do it chronologically and in between do some special content.
Hehehe love the beg to pause. That’s army listening to every new drop. So much cool stuff happening it gives rushing slushy brain freeze vibes. So glad y’all enjoyed it. Glad you’re on the BTS journey. L💜
We really enjoy and love STNY, it’s choreo MV, all live performances , his TSX time square performance, his golden live stage performance . Same writers of Seven et al , Watt, Bellion, Walter , Tamposi. Produced by Watt and Cirkut.
I finally realised why this song was so dawn familiar: Rene and Angela's "I Love You More". Bighit producers are old-school hardcore fans. Disco is alive!
It sounds like the songs that makes up JK’s new album were written by different artists other than JK. But he turned them to gold with his vocal, choreo, performance, mv, and his talents. 💜💜💜
Guys, I really appreciate your reaction videos because honestly, the amount of videos we see that there's just a person watching a BTS mv and going like "oh wow they're so good" and that's it. I feel like they just use Bangtan name to get views and likes and the content itself is just terrible. You guys are so different because you work with music and understand it, but also translate that into a simpler language that everyone can understand. Really, thank you so much, I enjoy watching your videos because of that. We ARMYs appreciate so much when people that are not familiar to BTS actually try to listen and understand their music. You guys have always showed so much respect for them, this makes me so happy, thank you for your work! Keep doing reaction videos and we will keep watching!
Me alegra que hayan disfrutado de esta maravillosa canción de Jungkook.. Y lo cierto es que tiene muchas referencias a MJ, es como un tributo pero sin dejar su esencia de lado... ❤🎉❤🎉❤
There’s often a slight delay as to when we want to stop it and when we can due to our setup. Also we get excited about things unexpectedly, and try to go back when needed.
Oohhh great video! I'm glad you enjoyed the song, also I'm very excited about you watching the Busan concert with Saya and Paroma, also you guys reacting to the live version of this song, Jungkook did great in every live performance so any option is perfect
Was waiting for this - knew you guys would have a field day! The Iheart radio live is the best cause it was a live band - there's nothing like a live band performance!
I don’t think I was one of the people who bombarded you guys to react to this one BUT I knew you guys would love this! This feels like JK in his most confident and where he feels more himself. If there is a song that is quintessentially JK as a singer and dancer, THIS IS IT. His performance from years ago covering a song called “IF YOU” really shows his vocal prowess. BUT THIS. This is him to a tee. Thank you!
This was such a fun reaction video! The MJ homage is really clear in the choreography my version if you want to just check that out for yourselves. I am looking forward to the live version reaction but really looking forward to the Busan concert reaction. It was my intro to BTS when I saw it in the theatre and boy, what an introduction it was!
On Golden (album) JK collaborated with various songwriters and producers (he didn't take part in writing or production). For this song: Songwriters: Andrew Watt, Henry Walter, Ali Tamposi, Jon Bellion Producers: Andrew Watt, Cirkut Oh, and his live performance on iHeart Radio is fantastic, he is alone on stage with a live band. He sounds amazing!
When you react to the live performance in Time Square, you should also react to this live one: 정국 (Jung Kook) 'Standing Next to You' @ iHeartRadio LIVE. Also, Seven and 3D were his previous singles and are iconic and Seven broke so many records. And to get a feel of the entire album quickly: Jungkook Golden Preview is a good start. Thank you for your reactions!
You have to watch the TSX Times Square live mini concert. He is sooo in his element here more than ever. He was so good and so cool. The energy from the crowd was so electrifying too! I loved this so much and can’t count how many times I’ve watched it. You will enjoy this.
