At the beginning, both the people shot down and the man in the hoodie were imagery related to police violence against Black people. 2016 was a bit of a flashpoint in time (like 2020) in terms of the Black Lives Matter Movement. Beyoncé captured a lot of that in Lemonade.

The vocal fry at the end of formation is in the studio recording. If you watch the music video, which is not live, you can hear it there too in the lead up to "always stay gracious, best revenge is your paper". Actually, you can hear it all throughout this song and all over the album, particularly in the speaking parts. It's intentional.

@@torashi._ Beyonce's speaking voice has been pretty low and raspy,since the Crazy in Love Days. I'm not like a super fan who thinks Beyoncé can't get tired - of course she can and probably was in this moment. However, the vocal fry in the song that prompted her to say Bey's voice was fatigued is intentional and is present in every version/performance of the song. There'd be no reason for a reactor whoo doesn't know the song to know that, so the comment makes sense. It also makes sense for me to point out that the vocal fry she commented on was intended.

This album marked me, I met my best friend the same year this album came out, since then she fell in love with Beyonce, our dream was to go to a concert...in 2023 God took her from this world. I always get emotional when I listen to it, I feel her by my side... incredible how a complete album does that. Artist who marks his life with his art. (I'm Brazilian I still don't speak English so sorry for the mistakes). In addition to the reaction that I love, I also learn English with your videos and your great pronunciation. Thanks

Beyonce won 9/11 nominations that night. She was sick and I think on vocal rest, also THIS WAS MID TOUR, think she had to either postpone or cancel one of her dates due to the voice issue. Its possible she conceived her twins during the final dates of the FWT

The people dressed in white who were "shot" down have two meanings, one biblical, and one political. The biblical reference comes in with the people dressed in white representing angels, when they are "shot" it represents the fall from grace in the bible where Lucifer/satan refused to be below humanity and was cast out along with a third of the angels. It's a shame, but Beyonce represents Lucifer in this scenario, cast out and then changing from light to dark. Notice her "fallen angels" do the same. Beyonce encodes a lot of biblical references in her music, performances, and videos. Like in her video "Alredy" she's barely dressed in a tree with a snake... obvious Garden of Eden, snake tricks Eve reference. The political reference comes in with the people in white representing innocent black victims of police brutality. Each "shot" represents another innocent black life taken by the police.

She has described the experience of becoming someone different on stage, and it sounds a lot like possession. She claims to be able to do things as Sasha that she can't do as Beyonce, and her style of singing is referred to as "siren song" After everything I've heard about Hollywood and the entertainment industry, I know there are satanic people amongst them. Whether B is one remains to be seen. But she doesn't help with her choice of wording, imagery, and artistry. More than a few times, she's worn horns or headdresses that have horn symbolism on them. It mainly happens at the big awards... VMA's, Oscars, MTV music Awards, BET etc Mention any of this to a beyhiver though and they will literally find some wool to pull over their eyes.
