Mariah in 1992! Wow, I was only 3 years old!!! Times when singers were not trying to use pre-recorded vocals and just sung their hearts out. I loved it!

At the 1992 Grammy show, she's on fire with those back to back well supported F#5 mixed voice and sudden peak of A6 whistle in between; at the SNL show, she's explosive with tons of well supported top chest/mixed voice, including G5 which is rarely sung by her at live shows. Please react to these 2 performances of this song! Yes, this is co-written by her with Carole King. In fact, most her hits are written by herself.

4:11 well yes, 94-96 was when she sounded her VERY VERY BEST (MSG 1995 and Daydream Tour 1996 probably best pop concerts vocally ever) but even so it’s debatable as really 90-96 she just sounded so incredible too

people underestimate how great her MTV Unplugged performances were. those were great. i like this performance of "If its over" personally i like it more than the grammys. probably second to the SNL performance. that SNL performance of this song is amazing and the best live performance of this song. that might be one you should look at too. another SNL performance you might want to react to is "vision of love" from 1990. powerhouse vocals. i don't think a single person has reacted to that performance on youtube which is weird to me. also "endless love" with luther vandross from 1994 could be another one. amazing duet. imo her prime years were from 1990-1996. she was flat out amazing during that time.

María Co wrote this sing with Carole King. She writes all of her music because she says that she can't concieve singing something Sha did not write unless it's a cover and still she makes arrangements to it to make it hers.
