When Whitney sang Gospel she wasn't playing around. She was singing to and about God and her RELATIONSHIP with HIM. Her Gospel performances always raise goosebumps on my body and bring tears to my eyes. Basically, I feel like I'm church.
Greatest ever, bar none! She was a gift from god, and him alone. She sang so effortlessly, flipping back and forth with ease. A master musician without a doubt, and sorely missed in 2019. There’s something about the lightness and brightness of Houston’s tone (and Jackson’s, actually) plus her amazing mid-belts which makes her sound very unusual compared to many of her contemporaries. Still, every female singer has been compared to her since her debut and what was achieved in a mostly 15 year period after that. I think her performance of “I Will Always Love You” at the World Music Awards (1993/4) was probably one of the best live performances of that song. Thanks again, Yazik. when God wanted to show off...he made Whitney. Chills and goosebumps on this song. I wish she would have made a full gospel album in her prime. My prayer is that she'll see Jesus and will be able to thank God for such a glorious gift.

I really don't get why people think that Glennis Grace sounds like Whitney - She's not even close - but I wish I could hear what those people hear. But why doesn't she have a real career then outside Netherlands and Belgium. I'm pretty sure she would be more succesful if she really sounded like Whitney!
Sometimes there are little parts in her Whitney-performances that sound very close, but for the most part she doesn't sound like Whitney. *People who really know Whitney's performances and voice hear the difference immediately!* When Glennis sings non-Whitney songs the difference is even bigger, which means she forces her voice a bit to sound like Whitney when she sings Whitney-songs. Glennis also misses the Soul and special sound that most Gospel singers have. She doesn't have the great musical background that Whitney had within her own family. What's also a little annoying is that Glennis her English isn't good at times and that she sings a 'hard G'. Belgium (Flemish part) and Holland both speak the dutch language, but Belgians don't use the 'hard G' sound.
