that goes for anyone he covers. he doesn't want to "copy" or "outsing" the original artists because they're the reason why he is a singer today. he honestly hates being compared to certain singers because he doesn't want to be put on the same level when they're the inspiration behind him. he's always so respectful and humble to every artist.

Thanks to reaction :) i think that hundreds of people have sung this song over the years, but no one has been more than a average Celine Dion imitation. But Dimash turned the song into a completely different shape and made it incredible :)

What you have to understand about Dimash is that he isn’t going to show you everything he’s got from the first few seconds of a song. Each song he takes you on a journey. It would be boring if he or any singer sang full force for the entire song, that’s not dynamic, that doesn’t tug at your emotions. The soft and low is just as important as the belting and high parts. He is a true master of dynamics and interpretation, and the emotional connectedness he displays. Yes , be patient and appreciate all the facets of his voice and not just the climax♥️🙏

Dimash is not about high notes all the time. He puts his heart and soul into every song. He is living in it.... he also NEVER tried to outshine anybody... he has DEEP respect for his fellow artists. And he teaches us, his fans - Dears, to respect the work of every artist. And we do! Love him to bits...

I thought he would ruin it by being to dramatic to early. For me he has done it perfectly to keep in respect of the song. In saying that you can't replace the original. If I had to choose the version I'd go for the original.

Honestly as a BIG big fan... like I'm not sure if there is a concert.... or live performance I haven't seen of his... but I completely get what you are saying. This performance is one of my least favorite of his. I understand where you are coming from. I still enjoy the end as you do but he is not Celine Dion. I saw Titanic in theaters with my parents and I remember the song playing and Dimash didn't give me the same feeling. There is a reason why people consider her one of the best vocalists of our generation. I really got the feels from her performance but to be fair, the thing I will always appreciate about Dimash is his musicality. He really understands dynamics. When to be quiet, when to get loud, how much to emphasize a note... he's truly a virtuoso. I've played guitar for over 20 years and I could never stop appreciating his overall musicianship. That's what I enjoyed the most. The way he changed the end to put his mark on the song and that moment at 12:17. The twirl gives me goosebumps every time because it's on beat lol.

He never fails to deliver and he should never be compared to anyone else. He is unique. I have every faith that she will see this, the further down the “Dimash rabbit hole “ she goes. The reason why you didn’t feel that in the beginning is because to make it different and make it his own, he started in a lower octave and then he went up to another octave. You will not hear a woman’s voice because he’s a man Lol! C’mom, tell me what man vocalist can sing a Celine song like that...I will like to hear Celine singing one of his songs in which he goes deep and all the way up Lol!! Maybe by this time you should listen to some of his Chinese or his Kazakh songs, because you will not know the original and will not be distracted by his pronunciation. Autumn Strong from I am a singer 2017, Daybreak from his Bastau concert ( this is based on a true story that you should research to enjoy it to the fullest).From his Kazakh songs I can recommend Unforgettable Day ( I am a singer 2017), Daididau ( Bastau), or Qairan Elim.

At the time he sung this, he didnt speak english at all, only singing in english. Try one of his kazakh songs to sing along, and you will have a glimpse how hard it can be without having any speaking practice in a language. I really appreciate the effort he takes to sing something in so many languages (he sings in 12 languages), and i was totally blown away as i heard him sing in my language (german). What i learned in terms of Dimash: Just open your heart to the music and the emotions he is conveying, and you dont need any words. Every time Dimash is singing I just want to feel and turn up the volume, that is what makes me happy every day since i know dimash. Greetings from Germany o/

Приветствую вас. Я конечно же поклонник творчества Димаша и проживаю в Казахстане, но не думаю что, Селин Дион в 1997 году когда вышел фильм "Титаник" она исполнила эту композицию также как наверно вы думаете, допустим в 2016 году и т.д. Важно, учитывать и возраст великолепной певицы. Естественно, разницу 1997 года и спустя двадцать лет слышно и это уверен видят в Ютубе и другие люди. Поэтому, считаю что нет необходимости сравнивать версию нашего дорого Димаша и выступление этой же песни в исполнении Селин Дион спустя двадцать лет. Это некорректно. Если я правильно понял ваши комментарии. Если нет, то извиняюсь.

You can't begin to imagine Dimash's vocal range, the songs you have reacted to has only been the tip of the iceberg. However, there are songs he sings that he's able to transport you to a place of happiness because his voice has arms that can grab and reach your soul. If you want to see and hear part of his range you can listen to "OGNI PIETRA."

Just because songs are in English doesn't mean you will feel more passion. To me English songs lack a lot of sincerity because of the lack of value to things that can't be bought. Also it's funny how quick the songs that are sung by Dimash are summed up as to the outcome, even though he always surprises us. Thank for your great reaction as always.

It's actually an Eric Carmen song which Celine covered along with many others. Dimash didn't deviate much from the original version on this one. He teaches patience, he tells the audience to sit back and enjoy, savor every note...tysm🤗

Esta canción en particular con Celin Dion es una de mis preferidas y siempre termino llorando. Funny, you don't see this requested a lot from the Dears. Dimash does a fine job, it's just not a favorite. Have you guys seen Across Endless Dimensions yet from the Italian movie Creators - the Past? That was a movie with William Shatner and Gerard Depardeau. Dimash sings over the closing credits, but there's talk of his acting in Creators 2. The best version is the one with scenes from the movie, though the black and white one they used at the end of the movie is pretty striking too.

I love your honest reaction. I am glad you are not afraid to criticize a performance on its merit. Dimash has a lot of admiration for Celine Deion and I think he is showing a lot of respect and maybe even some restraint by not trying to overshadow the original. Although, toward the end, Dimash did make the song his own and showed his vocal ability. He never seems to disappoint. Great reaction and analysis. Thank you and God bless both of you.

I just had a look back at the Dimash songs you've covered and noticed some of the ones missing that would fill in gaps of understanding. BEFORE you react to Olimpico (Ogni Pietra) you should listen to "The Show must go on", "Opera 2", "Daybreak" (Note: MUST have English subtitles for you to understand the emotion of this song. I's a true story and a tear jerker) and, my personal favourite English language song, "Adagio". All are from the singing contest "I am a Singer" contested in China. The show turned Dimash into an International Star. Cheers.

i might get a lot of hate for this, but imma be honest. i've never liked celine's version. i just could never get behind her singing it, even though i love the song. i also grew up with so many people hating that it was always playing somewhere and that a lot of people treated it like a meme/joke. i prefer dimash's version over all of the ones i've heard, but dimash is someone that just makes every song he sings, originals or covers, his own and he puts so much emotion into it.

LOL I'm racking my brain and, you're right, there is no one I can think of on this earth that can sing Dimash songs. Someone, gimme a name! Celine, Pavarotti, Marcelito, Sohyang, Morissette are all good singers, then there's the master, DIMASH, in a class of his own. Imagine DIMASH singing The Prayer, and Marcelito singing SOS. Ummm, no. Asia I understand what your saying....... Almost like he feels the songs not in English more! In a way, i think that he does cause he knows what hes singing about when the songs are not in English! He understands what he's singing about! You see, Dimashes doesn't speak or understand English (except for the usuals; hello\Bye and thank you, etc!). When they choose the English song they're doing, Dimashes composer\arranger and Friend, break down each word phonetically and break it down by syllables and then by saying the word over and over again and quickly learning a basic idea of the meaning of the word, and they continue this over and over Till Dimash sounds comfortable and natural with the word and finaly the sentences that make up the song! Very hard to do and very impressive!

Dimash has been working very, very hard on his English diction. Asia, the lower and slower the song, he might be focusing on his English diction while singing and the emotion of the song suffered at the beginning. A conceited female opera singer criticized his diction. I asked her how her Chinese and Kazakh diction was and when it was that she had last filled up a stadium. Needless to say, the "Dears" got very upset at her!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I give him endless kudos for putting himself out there in a language that isn't his!

Dimash covered Show must go on like none other. Brian May said that he didn't know about Dimash, but when he heard his cover he said he loved it and that Dimash has unique vocals. You need to react to that :)

If you are looking for “coping” somebody’s singing - you will not find it with Dimash. He is telling you a story and it is his version of the story. And most of the time it is better than the original. If you listen to this song sung by Dimash at different occasions you’ll see that there is some difference in each one.

😜 he always carry you with the song… He started this with low register, gentle and surrendered. Interestingly that’s how he ended it with the same tone. It’s a full circle.
