Thank youuuu!! Beyonce IS a Legitimate vocalist. My having spent 42yrs in this business (started in music 80s with Alexander O'Neal, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, wrote for Babyface Edmonds, Angelina Jolie films, countless TV shows, Jingles, etc.) it irks me to see music fall so very far from grace. & Beyonce is still criminally underrated. Ppl actually claim "she can't sing"!!! Nuts. NUTS!!
I really love your mind. The way you break those vocals down is so amazing. Of course the credits goes to Beyoncé, but the way you make it easy to understand is all on you. Thank you for dadicating the time to deliver one of your greatest videos AGAIN! The way your videos about Beyoncé and Brandy are rich is because before analizing, you understand their instruments as a fan. thank you again
Thank you so much for this! It's funny because these videos are all me just genuinely geeking over artists and music I love! The nerd and teacher in me, just happens to also welcome others into that experience. Glad you took the time to enjoy some more Beyoncé with me now, and for all the time you've been subscribed!
WHEEEEWWWW I'm not a singer at all but Bey is one of the few artists that makes me notice all of these details on her vocals and for you to break it down allowed me to fully realize it more!!!!!!!
Attempting to sing any Beyoncé song is vocal gymnastics. Her runs have always displayed complexity but after the birth of the twins her runs are insane!
I love how you can technically articulate what im thinking and feeling when specifically listening to Beyoncé 's live performances. I really missed your Beyoncé reviews. ❤️🙏🙏
Do you think changing the key is about comfort or the emotion she was trying to portray with respect to this specific arrangement? I think she would be comfortable either way but may feel it's simply boring to perform the song as it was recorded.
It could easily be about either! But it's really cool to see the qualities that we hear that all come with her choice to change the key! Thanks for watching!
@@oneilgerald Thanks for the reply, your content is supreme. As a nation, I wish we taught math through the medium of music, it's hard to appreciate the sounds around us without the language to describe them.
@@oneilgerald Both things can be true. It could be a vocal style choice to change the key it could also be the emotion she wishes to convey in the performance and the song. Beyoncé gives 110% EVERY SINGLE TIME with EVERY SINGLE PERFORMANCE she is a vocal giant without trying! I adore her technique and the little nuances she adds every time!
I would honestly love bey to sing a few of her songs from I am Sasha fierce it wouldn’t really require much from her something like that’s why your beautiful I wonder how it would sound. I think majority songs from that album wouldn’t require much from her it would be a interesting shift in the sounds of them
Very classy show! Thanks for the legitimate vocal breakdown "..this is a talk THRU talk WOO" 😊👏🏽👏🏽 It's integral that young artists/musicians/producers understand the dynamics of a GREAT VOCAL. 1st, Beyonce is a great singer and 2. a good singer is not "just icing" but vital instrumentation!!
Beyoncé and Jade Nova are both so amazing as singers to me. I’m a Songwriter myself and music is healing. If you get a chance listen to Patrick Valentine Vance The Mother’s Day Song. If you like it text it to your mom on Mothers Day,Let it be the first text she gets from you on her day.
I'd love to see a video on Jade Novah's voice please. Her new song Lost in you as a possible suggestion??? I'm a new fan and I am really facinated with your videos and musical/vocal knowledge. Really great videos 😀😀
I absolutely love how you break down what she's doing because that's what I really want to know, especially the terminology. Once again a great video!!
Man all I can say is u the bomb and bey the bomb too u really had me definitely understanding a lot of shot I didn’t realize I would be able to and I have no problem if person is stopping constantly to teach not for other lil mess and u did that throughout the entire video that while also being taught yourself and I just completely loved this bro
She definitely can. I think she feels like she doesn't have to anymore because her voice is so much richer now, so she may not. I guess we'll see with her next tour
@@cavalrystyles8776 for someone that has been touring for like 20 years and constantly belting high notes, it's normal that her voice got a little tired, but Beyoncé has a high head voice when she belts she mixes with a good balance (same proportion of head and chest) I think if she puts more head to her mixed voice, she will belt higher, it's just not her belting style
Was hoping you’d address how her voice has slowly started developing a rasp @17:07 when she sings yeah, I herd some similar rasp when she performed halo at Kobe’s funeral Looking at Whitney and Mariah’s singing, rasp can denote the beginning of vocal deterioration. And it could that be the reason she lowered the key more than just a half step?
That's a stylistic choice she's adding that on purpose... That's how great she is Beyonce is one of those artist that knows her voice very well and well never force notes like that's not naturally there...
@@dominiquemoore2367 you’re talking about something else entirely, but either way, rasp on purpose sounds like Christina Aguilera and natural rasp sounds like Pink! here Beyoncés voice is showing signs of a developing rasp like Mariah in 1997/1998. Mariah is star rated vocalist and a vocal legend but even her voice changed in 1997 and many say it’s never been the same again. Yes she had nodules etc but my main point here is Beyoncé is a perfectly technical singer but could it be that her voice has started deteriorating? What makes Beyoncé perfect is she’s changed her old songs to fit her new voice and her new music has entirely changed to suit the new voice which still sounds great and healthy and top notch after all these years. Definitely a queen for the longest vocal prime.
Awww!! I discovered your channel a little while ago and hadn’t seen any new videos since! I missed you! Thank you so much for this video. I love Beyoncé and I’m glad she’s back to this more ornate type of singing that she does so well. I must admit I didn’t like the (vocal) choices she made on Lemonade. I get it, though. Have you heard Mariah’s new version of The Roof with Brandy? How did you like it?
