Vocalkokoro Update: Hanaminasho or Koron Miku? (Voting Closed)

Current deadline: Finished. I've made the decision already.
I just realized something; It just dawned on me that if I'm going to continue the script using motion data from now on regardless of which model chosen, then I could just make the video, upload it, go back to the file and save all of Miku's movements as motion data, and remake the video with the other model. In other words, BOTH models could be chosen! Everybody wins! XD (But that would murder my computer though. x.x Poor thing. XD)
Jeez, I put way too much thought into this!! XD As usual, I seriously overdid it! X'D THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER LET VOCALKOKORO GET BORED!! He'll make extremely weird and hilarious videos! XD Besides asking you to choose between two Miku models, there was really no point to this, there were so many unnecessary things going on, especially the dialogue! XD This has got to be the weirdest thing I've ever made! The whole thing is so stupid and exaggerated, I love it! X'D
But anyway, let's get serious. The reason I made this video was to request if you all could post a comment on which of the two models you like more: Hanaminasho Miku or Koron Miku. Eventually I will make a deadline for the votes. Whichever model gets the most votes by the deadline will be my new official model starting in chapter 3. (Not chapter 2 because I'm already 95% done with that one with the Hanaminasho model.) Please let me know what you like! :)

I agree with you on finding different effects to adjust the lighting, and also to use the lighting system in MMD itself to fix any issues with that, but at the same time it'd look really weird if I hate to change the lighting every time I took a picture from a different angle. It'd be very weird and very noticeable. >.

You have so serious approach to it! ^) Well... I was busy with the PMD Editor and can say that all of the models differences named is enough slight. For instance, way how a model looks under different shaders is able to be adjusted easily by selection of light components (ambient, diffuse, specular). Overall these are very similar models. But I would choose the Koron Miku because it I think is more accurately made and would remake her a bit corresponding my preferences.

True, but eventually the chosen model from here would become the majority of videos and then it would hardly be a problem. It'll just be seen as a minor update after awhile.

Oh I see, I think my vote still stands though. Working with a model that doesn't have a base model would be too much of a hassle.

There's actually a problem with this voting system. Most of the people on RU-vid request Dreamy Theater Miku, while most of the people on DeviantART request Koron Miku. (Dreamy Theater Miku was used in the first two episodes on RU-vid, while Koron Miku is what I've been using for everything on DeviantART.) It think it's more of a matter of what the viewers have seen first, rather than actual preferences. T.T

Which one do you mean by "the one I've been using?" For the first two episodes of Two-Faced Father I've been using Hanaminasho Miku. For my works on DeviantART, I've been using Koron. o.o

I wasn't talking about Kaito. I love that Model, it's just perfect. What I mean is that this DTMiku is pratically Project Diva's Miku retextured (maybe slightly edited, but just a little). I was just suggesting to take in consideration PD's Miku too, because is the same series as the Kaito you're using and it's not so different from Hanaminasho's Miku. This is just a hint, but if you prefer consider only the 2 you exposed, then I'll go for DTMiku.

By the way, the Sreal shader is actually called "Hyper Shader", I believe. Made by Chibideko which comes with the Chibideko Luka model. :3

That's because all the other poses were recorded using Hanaminasho Miku and then pasted onto Koron Miku! Of course her poses would look slightly strange in comparison! XD

Yeah. Turns out that now they actually are on equal terms for performance. I found another model that can be used as a base model, Oyabun. (So I can change her outfit when needed.) The main reason I'm leaning toward Koron Miku is because I really love MME shaders, especially the Sreal shader. But I can't use them if Hanaminasho is chosen because it'll mess up her textures and make her facial expression flaws more visible. Which such flaws cannot be seen when not using shaders.

Personally, i like both. either way would be fine with me. if i had to choose tho, i'd choose koran miku. she fits a bit more with kaito than the other one.

I think you should use koron miku, I really love hanaminasho's model and there's NO denying that she/he worked hard on it but I think she looks a bit better with other dreamy theater rips, ^^

The main reason I brought Kaito in was so the audience could also make their selection through which one appears to be more "complimentary" to his model as well. :3 And yes, the poor guy. Gotta love him though. XD

There's a lot of things I prefer in the old Miku. But for Kaito I would choose Koron Miku!! They make such a good match :3

Hm I think I like Hanaminasho one more than the other. They both look really good and cute, but I think the poses looked a bit better on the Hanaminasho model.

I've already considered Project Diva Miku, but I changed my mind because then people would be complaining about how her age conflicts with her appearance. -_- (She's technically 21 now that her birthday has passed, but Mamama did so amazingly well that no matter how you look at her, Project Diva Miku will always look 16.)

Yeah but that's only because she has a spa file attached to her clothes. Add the same spa file to Koron Miku and they'd be on equal grounds with that.

True. Plus the Koron model Miku looks weird to me (because I came up on Miku's box art and Dreamy Theater model). I'm not trying to bash, but I think that all in all the original model is better. Personal opinion

Send you a basic moving? Like you want me to record motion data, or you want me to tell you what bones to move to make them do certain things? (Example: breathing. It's actually simpler than it looks.)

Additional disadvantages between the two models are that in Hanaminasho, aside from the fact that I can't use MME shaders if continuing with her, Miku can't be affected as much when I reduce the lighting. (So if I make the surroundings look like night time, she will still appear like it's day time.) And for Koron, Miku needs some spa files for shine and details. (Were added in my anime op and ed video.)

Lol that's because I made this video the same day I downloaded Koron Miku. Hanaminasho Miku has a clear advantage in this video because I didn't even translate Koron Miku's facial expressions at the time. XD

@Tania Wijaya 3 things: 1, Kaito is not too old for Miku unless you are on sexual terms. Having a four-year age difference does not label you as 'too old'. 2. Miku was considered 16 back in 2007, the year she was released, so she's technically 21 now. 3. "How bout it?" I really don't care. I'd appreciate it if you don't start a fight over which pairing is "better" I'm not in the mood to see a fight break out. Thanks.

I think generally speaking, Koron Miku is better: she's in particular more smooth. However I think the difference (hair & tie color) between the two models is too great to switch them in the middle of a continuous story. Hanaminasho Miku is already doing a great job. :)

To be honest, I prefer Hanaminasho Miku with Kaito, because the both sorta have the same complexion, but they both are cute hugging the chibi.

No, you misunderstand me (any way, sorry, my english :) )! Concerning the lighting, I mean to keep an only shader in the MMD scene, but to edit the models in the PMD Editor (the tab 「材質」 ("material characteristics") ) to yield a planned skin tinge.

Okay, so let's run the list: I'm an American, I have an obsession with Japan and its culture, I am fascinated with African traditions, Mexican babies are rediculously adorable, I took one Spanish class and two French classes over the school years, I did an entire (optional) school powerpoint presentation about defining the differences and similarities to American, French, and Japanese culture, I did all that... and you want to call me racist? Eh, seems like at this rate, Koron Miku's going to lose. (Even though the deadline isn't set up yet.) If so, just to say that I used that model in one of my projects, I think I'll use Koron Miku in a Vocaloid PV I'm making, and the storyline I'm writing will be Hanaminasho Miku. That's the current plan for now. :)

@club2467 That's because I didn't translate the other Miku's facial expressions at the time, so I couldn't work with hem well. So although she was annoyed like the other, it didn't appear so. (Besides, I've used Koron Miku more now considering DeviantART.)

Update: In regards to Koron Miku currently not having a base model, I may be able to get away with using Oyabun Miku as the base. (Has the same basic structure and textures of Koron Miku's body.) In other words, Hanaminasho and Koron are now on equal terms with bases and editing. :)

Well they both are very cute, I have no problem with either But if I had to choose I would say Koron Miku She has less issues than Dreamy Theater Miku, such as better physics and facials Or have you ever considered Project Diva Miku to match Project Diva Kaito?

Here's an example: Making them breathe: 1. Give them a general stance first. (Like how Kaito is standing in my motion video.) 2. Go ahead 50 frames or so and lightly move down the shoulders, the head, and bend the knees by moving down the motherbone. (Will have to move arms after moving shoulders.) 3. Select all and copy the general stance from frame 0 and paste it to frame 100. 4. Copy and paste pose from frame 50 to frame 150. Don't forget to select all and register! Your model is alive! XD

Hmm...I know the shading looks a little strange with the Hanaminasho model, but I love the fact that her hair has the greenish-tint. I also love her facial expressions since the eyes are bit wider. If only you could take the pigtail fullness of the Koron Miku and combine it with the color, bangs, eyes, and body shape of the Hanaminasho Miku. If only, right? ^^; Anyway, my vote goes to the Hanaminasho Miku. Despite the glitches stated, this is one of the favorite Miku models I've seen. ^///^

That's because I posed Hanaminasho Miku first and then copied and pasted the pose data to Koron Miku. Their performance is completely equal. Only downsides are: 1. Dreamy Theater Miku has problems with her hands after I edited her. They go slightly out of proportion when I bend them. 2. Koron Miku currently doesn't have a base model, so changing her outfit would prove unusually difficult.
