I love this. I also really like the box art, though people do come in with the moe fanart. :’). The bird is a great touch! Such a nice concept, indeed.

I do like how Oliver sounds so far. His vowels aren't like Sweet Ann's or more like Big Al's where they are very noticable that THEY ARE A VOWEL. So far so good, Vocatone.
ABC isn't the way we faithfully pronounce it either, its just how we spell things. For example; The "A" in 'Father' is different to the "A" in 'Alone". There are about five different pronunciations of the letter "A" within the English Language itself. Altogether there are 20 vowel sounds and 24 constant sounds that make up the English language. For the japanese language, how they spell their words and pronounce it are much closer.

I just learned about this guy today on tv tropes' character page for vocaloids, and my eyes widened when I saw that this demo and his official design were released TODAY. november 12. haha wow.
@SuperFlashfish The two main inspirations for Oliver's design were the uniforms worn by the Vienna Boys Choir, and the clothes that upper-class boys and men wore in the late 18th-early 19th century. The bandages are a sort of homage to the "monster" theme that PowerFX VOCALOIDS are generally known for.
i love it! Circus monster has always been one of my fave songs and hearing oliver sing it made my day! Guess who's going to beg their parents for another vocaloid. Yeah, this chick....
well I don't know about a full oliver cover for a music box, but there is this cover by Nanodo, Its an amazing cover! (sorry RU-vid wont let me put a link)
Also, although Len is a young infant type, take note he was still voiced by a mature female, therefore he isn't as close enough match to the correct tones for his age and gender as perhaps a person of that age would be. True, while a child's vocal lacks gender defination prior to puberty, there are times when you can definately tell Len was not voiced by a mature adult female. If you listen to all 5 of his voicebanks, eventually it slips in, Oliver has no fear of this.
I would just like to say, His voice and design are amazing~! He sounds so clear, and it's adorable! Ahh, I wish I knew who gave the voice to Oliver! And I now wait patiently for the release date, and to save up my money.

Now that I've actually heard him now in regular earphones, I can hear his accent more distinctly^w^ I am still glad that it is not as heavy as Leon or Lola's. But, I can't wait for his release now!
@REXRandomEx You are very right. I think that Oliver and Miriam should do a duet. They both have a smoothness in there voices. Plus Miriam is like a grandmother to Oliver (with her gray hair and all).
Oliver sounds like no-one. Or even similar to any of the Engloids. I'm really, really waiting for the release. I love his voice, and I'm crossplaying as him at Tekkoshocon 2012.
I sure hope the kid who voiced this is not into Vocaloids. I can only imagine his shock when he finds out that he's going to be spending A LOT of quality time with Len. Also, huzzah for combining the shota fetish with a bandage fetish. But in all seriousness, I can't wait for him to come out. Gonna. Be. Awesome.
@OsuOsayu Vocaloids have the capability of singing clearer if the song creators edit their perimeters. But even japanese vocaloids aren't perfectly clear, that's why most(if not all) vocaloid PVs have the lyrics on them. :3

@YiffMeHMM85 They have blonde hair and are young boys..... One wears attaire based on a Japanese school the other a boy's choir outfit. One has blue eyes the other yellow. Also Oliver is "monster themed" like Ann and Al. Oliver's vocals are from a 13 year old British boy, Len is from a Japanese woman. Oliver is lighter sounding and softer, Len is deep and mature.I could go on... But it seems it the age and blonde hair forcing comparisons only..
Some of the replies to this comment... haven't been very nice, ouch D: To clarify: When you pronounce the alphabet in English you go ABCDEFG, right? In Japanese it's AIUEO, Ka Ki Ku Ke Ko. The syllables that make up their language are different from ours, that's why if you got Kaito to sing "Silver Bells" He'd say "Shiruba Berusu" (haha) Oliver ((along with Leon, Lola and the other engloids)) had their voices recorded to sing English syllables, that's why he sings English best, not Japanese.

@EvilEmoCupcakes I'd agree 100% with theLen/Oliver comparisons if they were in the same vocal tone and range, but they are not. Its normal for singers of the same vocal range/tone to sound the same anyway, but Len and Oliver are not in the same place, sure both are young voice vocals, but the results wouldn't be the same even if they were the same language. Pus Len was voiced by a woman and Oliver by a 13 year old boy.
@NaytekNarumy there is a full(er) version of scarborough fair. it is missing only a little bit. one verse. maybe two. you can find it by clicking on vocatoneofficial's name under the video to go to the vocatone channel then in the right side pane will be a list of all the demos and you can click on the one marked scarborough fair (full.)
Either way you, most Vocaloids have to be tweaked to be clearer, in fact out of the 5 english vocaloids I have used, Big Al was the only one who doesn't need tweak for clarity most of the time. His tweaking is more to do with balancing his vocal out so it doesn't over power the other Vocaloids. ^_^'
@HollyJollyAru Actually the relationship between our Oliver and Oliver Twist is a complete coincidence. XD We didn't really notice the similarities until we were pretty far into development. 8P Derp.
I appreciate how I can actually understand what he is saying, unlike the Luka version (which is still an awesome version). Nice job! I can't wait for more Oliver music! Also, am I not the only one who senses Rin/Len x Oliver songs that will explode on the internet one day?
