Their age when they debuted... those are the korean ages. Han was still only 13 years old when he Joined JYP, because his age in Korean was Plus 2 because his birthday was in the end of the year. He was only 16 when they debuted, and he isn't even the youngest. Lol People forget the korean age thing. 1. You gotta remember its incorporated in every age given by the label or them up until this year. 2. Nothing that used those ages has been changed since they stopped using the Korean age system. So Hans story is very much that he had to grow up fast, for many different reasons. Which is also whu Seungmin uses the word "fear" for Hannie in the beginning. At 7, han moved from Korea to Malaysia. Where he lived till he was 13, so the second half of his early adolescence. And for all 13 of those years... Han was homeschooled. Contrary to popular belief, he did not go to some fancy international school where he learned English and then graduated at 15, then moved back to korea to join JYP. Nope, he was homeschooled, and unfortunately for him that means little to no socialization. SPECIALLY because he then moved and had to start all over in Malaysia. A place utilizing a language tht opposite of his own. So he had to go from using a syllable-timed language (Hangul) to a Stress-timed language (Malay... fun fact, English is as well. And they have similar vocabulary in terms of pronunciation.) In other words, THIS is the sole reason that when he joined the group he was so talented at learning English and flew past the other members in doing so. He spent his formidable years having lesrned a language from ach side of the most difficult language barrier we have. This, in combination with the fact that he IS a literal genius. Is why he was then able to learn both English (Stress-timed) and Japanese (syllable-timed) so quickly and efficiently. Anyways! Han, at 13, was ALREADY redy to take his tests to graduate high-school. However he would have to do so in Kprea, as their age system added 2 years, putting him at the bare minimum of age requirements to do so. This meant he had to go back to Korea... and he had to do so alone. He did, and of course, he passed. But then he made up his mind to look into music. It was his only chance... 13 year old child not only have to decide his career path, but he had to do so ALONE, same way he would have to do everything else afterwards too, up until he was a part of SKZ. Yeah, he did get jnto JYPE the end of that year after spending that time studying music as D.E.F. However he was still a baby. And top top it all of, he has some serious issues to work through, and to this deay, he STILL IS. And will likely always suffer the ramifications. Of course, theres jo one to blame. His parents were truly trying to do what was right for him. It was duing a time when oeople across the world were chiosing to homeschool their kids because school was no longer safe, not to mention is wasnt actually teaching them. As han said, his dad was constantly worried about him not being open minded, which makes sense, because Korean schools are notorious for being just that, not open minded. And in Malaysia, although the country itself is Asias melting pot and very diverse, their religions and their laws are very strict. So i can completely understand why he felt that was a better country for him, but not a better school system. More importantly, theres no way he could have known that his son was going to be just like him in that he was going to pursue a music career... but unlike him he wasnt going to go on tour with a rock band as their main vocalist... but join a massive kpop label successfully debute, and become one of the biggest kpop groups, and just artists period, in the world. He just didnt think about him taking such a completely different path that would result in a life that couldn't be more difficult from the life he had lived uo until that point. Fact is, 99.9% of people would be FAR too terrified by juat the prospect oc moving to another country by themselves at 13. And they simply wouldn't be able to be without ANYONE they knew from that point forward to kean on and feel prtected by. He was truly on his own, even after he met the members, he still didnt have any family there, and henstill didnt even understand what was going in with him. Of course, the members foudn they really loved him, and so they heloed hom through it. Han had in fsct been feeling all of this, all the fear... and all thenanger that came with that. Anger that he was different than others. (This part is just my opinion, but knowing what icdo about this type of issue, people tend to develop anger that exists because their path they chose is at odds with their past, and they are angery they cant just "be normal" this was Hans dream and yet he didn't understand how to even make friends, or communicate, or depend on these people emotionally when he was now technically already dependent on them physically for the validity of his future. He didnt understand how to function like them, because he wasnt raised like them. He was very in his own world, he didn't need friends (but he did). The anger and the fear, all justified.) The anger, he worked through of course we have all heard thenjokes about predebut Han, and how he tried to fight every member except Lino. Lol But thats because hes not like that anymore, he broke through to the other side in that aspect. However, when you went your whole life with the same handful (couple) of people, and now the eyes of the whole world are on you, you have tens of millions of fans, and this isnt something that you can see coming when it flares up, or stip it from doing so... not to mention the only way in which you can you literally cant do because gou wouldnt be in any shape to lerform sedated. His social anxiety is "the fear" in this song. As brilliant and takented as Han is, he has a lot of scsrs frkm his past and how it had unintentionally affected his future. He has got tocbe one of the strongest people i have EVER come across in my LIFE and I truly cant believe so much physical determination, talent, and willpower exists in such a pretty package... I hope him, and OF COURSE, SKZ as the truly formidable force that they are, continue to rise up until they rule the music wrold from one hemisphere to then other. Meanwhile, Hannie, hell, he deserves ALL the cheesecake! lol

You should do a reaction to the original song by Radiohead. It’s one of my favorite songs. Thom Yorke, the lead singer, actually doesn’t like the song very much lol. I thought the cover was good but I feel it’s missing some of the subtle guitar work that made the original so tender and beautiful.
