I am so glad you reacted to Voctave. They have become my favorite groups. If you want to be blown away check out; Disney Love Medley, Disney Princess Medley, O Holy Night, O Come All Ye Faithful, Mary Did You Know, Somewhere, The Great Movie Medley and anything else they do. Amazing group!!!
My favorite thing about Voctave is there are 11 people, but it's not like there are 1 or 2 truly talented singers, literally each of the 11 could have successful solo careers if they wanted, they're all amazing. This medley is the analog to another popular medley of theirs, the Disney Princess Medley, which showcases the ladies.
Welcome to the Voctave rabbit hole! You're right about Voctave having 11 members, and all of them are either current or former singers with the Voices of Liberty at EPCOT in Disney World. Jamey Ray (who sings "Go the Distance" here), is the group's founder, a university music professor, and arranges every one of their tracks. Definitely run through their Disney playlist, especially "Disney Princess Medley" for solos from all 5 women. Their Christmas playlist is top notch. I highly recommend "O Come All ye Faithful", "Where Are You Christmas", "Carol of the Bells of Notre Dame", "The Christmas Song", etc. Also, please react to their "Prince of Egypt Medley" (audio only), perhaps their best work to date. "Someone Like You" featuring Jody McBrayer, "Over the Rainbow", "Remember Me" featuring Mariachi Cobre, "Moon River", etc. . . .
Definitely do The Disney Princess Medley to hear the women shine then Disney Love Song Medley featuring Kirsten from PTX. I agree, villain songs are often the most fun.
EJ Cardona is the big brother of Omar Cardona. EJ is in a black suit at the end and kills that last note. EJ has done two videos with VoicePlay, Go The Distance and I Can't Make You Love Me. Omar has done four Videos and five minis' with them.

Oh my! Their Mary Did You Know is the best version out there, and i will fight anyone who says different. Listen to their Prince of Egypt Medley even if you dont do a video. It is life changing
I'm late, but cool note: Voctave did a collaboration with PTX's Kirsten, Disney Love Medley, and the hispanic guy, EJ from Voctave, did a song with Voiceplay... though I'm blanking on the name of the song. If you haven't reacted to those yet!

Great reaction! I agree, love a good villain song! Voctave are so good. They’ve done one featuring Kirstie from PTX and the last guy EJ Cardona (who seems to not need to breathe at the end there!) has featured on VoicePlay songs too. All of these a capella groups are just so talented!
Voctave is indeed an 11 person group, many of whom work in Walt Disney World in various shows. The first song is "Friends on the Other Side" from The Princess and the Frog (Check out VoicePlay's cover of this song). Speaking of VoicePlay, the last song, Out There, from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, is sung by E.J. Cardona, who has collaborated with VoicePlay a couple of times. EJ Cardona (the last guy) has done two covers with VoicePlay: I Can’t Make You Love Me and I Can Go The Distance. His brother Omar has also done several covers with them as well.
Great reaction! Please do a Voctave! They really don’t have a single song that is a dud. They are like a vocal orchestra with their wall sound. Note they didn’t have a beat boxer like many of the news and smaller groups do but they don’t need one. They are able to make beautiful music and rhythmic sounds with way they sing. They may not be as popular or famous but they are the standard by which other a cappella groups measure themselves.

Welcome to what's going to be an angelic-sounding rabbit hole to float down through. Voctave is my personal favorite of the acapella groups you can find online and I cannot recommend hearing more of them. My personal recommendations for you to watch next include the "Disney Princess Medley" (since that one showcases the ladies of Voctave the way this video showcased the men), "The Great Movie Medley" (a musical tribute to John Williams and also one of the first pieces they made as a group of 9 people), "The Prince of Egypt Medley" (for now, it's just audio only but, like this Heroes and Villains medley, it could have a music video eventually), "Carol of the Bells of Notre Dame" (a mash-up of the holiday classic "Carol of the Bells" as well as the opening song from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame), and "Mary, Did You Know?" (in which the actual writer of the song sung the main part while Voctave sang the harmonies).
