Geepers... as a Sharks fan this game still upsets me to this day. One thing I loved about this season was having 2 amazing SA Club Rugby teams in Super Rugby that factored into the Bok squad being dominated by the Sharks and the Bulls. That was one very tight knit bok squad.
@@richardshort2387 The 2009 final at Loftus against the Chiefs is my all time favourite. A complete annihilation of New Zealand's best team that year! Oh how sweet that victory was, and oceans of tears and excuses from NZ fans and Murray Mexted! 😂👍🏈👏
We'd like to thank the Sharks for choking in this game, it taught the Springboks in their team how to close out a game and taught the other half of the Boks at the Bulls to never give up. Which won us the World Cup in Paris in September that year
The Sharks had 3 chances to seal the game Frans Steyn's conversion Butch James's stupid kick with 30 seconds to go And Frans Steyn's kick at full time Not to mention the knock on and crazy recovery of possession at the end
How do miss a kick from that distance for your club and slot in one from 50+meters for your country in a World Cup Final less than 2 and a half months on . . . . .wild.
@@francoisgroenewald505 he knocked it on again when he played it on the ground, which is also a penalty. But i agree that Frans Steyn should have got touch.
with the tackle rules today there would have been about 3 yellow cards on the sharks in the final minutes, how the ref missed the knock at the last tackle on the prop cost the sharks everything
the bulls won this gamefrom a nock on the touch judge ignored just before habanna scored the winning try even Matfield admitted they knocked it on the ref didnt see it thats why there was a slight pause in the game when it opened up for habanna....
