I’ve never felt so mortified at my behaviour as a Christian since I’ve been watching Dr. Voddie Baucham Jr, a few weeks ago. The dread and fear that’s in my heart is beyond me, I feel a deer in headlights… I’ve been praying, asking God for help and just repenting, even trying to specify each sin as much as my memory is will remember.
Your uneasiness over this demonstrates what a contrite and repentant heart looks like. You can believe God's word when it says that if you call upon the name of Jesus, He will save you.
Repentance is key word in your comment, that is very important as a Christian, Repent turn from your wicked ways, change what you are doing and don't go back, stay strong in the word of God for it is the living word, for God is alive and well
this might be an USA issue. in Uk, we are word heavy and have lively music. We dont have one or the other, we have both, I am truly grateful and thankful to Jesus for this.
It doesn’t have to even be that extreme to be off. Many churches call the music part of church “worship” (it’s very self centered). The “worship leader” is trying to “get” the attendants to some worship state of being. They don’t even consider the rest of the service, Word and Sacrament, as part of the worship service, and of course most of you know it is. There’s so much attention to self and they are too blind to see it. Praying they will come to saving faith.
spirit filled they are....but with what spirit or spirits are they filled with and or moved by? We must pray for these people. I was at a Christian concert on the Sabbath for the purpose only of giving out literature and also to meet souls to do proper Bible study with and for them to know the truth about what they were doing and be saved by Gods grace

Those people at the first of this clip, I do not consider that worship to the Lord. It sounds more like a rock concert. They are not worshipping the true Jesus. They need our prayers. 🙏❤
Did you show a demonstration of worship ? Apart from obvious paganism and false smoke if they are sincere. Leave them alone … showing videos of worshippers is not a good thing for criticizing worship …Jesus said to his disciples if they are for me leave him alone.… teach them what not to do from the word of God … first study about Music and worship in the word and you will see you can’t try to bring down a brother and sister who is worshipping God .. Father in his almighty Wisdom put Singers Worship leaders in the church Nehemiah 13 I think it is … We can’t take them out
Amen brother, we do not know the content of their hearts. David danced before the Lord and when his wife criticized him she was barren. Man looks at the outward appearance God looks at the heart. Jesus has a clear way we are to criticize our brothers and sisters. Take them alone and talk to them privately. If we don't start there then all we are doing is gossiping which is a sin that is selfish and hateful to the Father whose sons and daughters we are criticizing in the first place. God bless all my brothers and sisters. Each one is convicted to worship in their own way. Romans 14
Also, if lights, smoke, loudness of music and passion encourages someone to seek after the Father or come to the altar, or to get baptized and begging their journey; why would not use the tools around us to reach just one more
Because that’s not a genuine convert. It’s someone who let the time and emotions get the best of them. When you hear the national anthem I’m sure you feel patriotic and love our country. But during the rest of your life you’re not wearing the red white and blue Stars and Stripes being a constant patriot in your everyday life. Which Christian’s are called to do with the Father. So that’s the difference. True worship is not the modern church.
@@Texasguy316 we’re called to judge the fruit a persons life not the actual tree. A persons salvation is truly only know to them and God. Worship (music and other forms) are vehicles to help us engage the Father. I haven’t seen one ounce of biblical evidence to back this thought (modern worship being evil). I stand with apostle Paul.., “whether out of good or bad motivation; do not hinder those preaching Jesus, Him crucified and risen from the dead.” With smoke, lights, guitars, drums, etc lift up a joyful noise
@@jameschance8838 is the worship God centered or man centered? Who gets the glory from the worship? If any of the glory goes to man, it is wrong. The glory should only go to God. That's the problem with most, not all, worship today is it isnt for the glory of God, but of man. Another issue many have with it, is we are called to be separate from the world, yet this type of worship is very reminiscent of the pagans way of worshipping. Just look at the prophets of Baal. They would shout, chant, dance, jump up and down, sing, and have very emotional experiences during their worship as well, yet we are called not to be like them. Yet many today worship in very similar fashions, but it's ok because we put God in there rather than Baal. God wants us to be different than the world, not like the world.
@@mahoneychris17 King David danced before the Lord. He made a spectacle of himself in the street. That was emotion. That was deep seated love for the Father acted out physically. Love looks like something. It’s not just a mental knowledge. I love to worship in my home with not much of anything. I also love the corporate gatherings with the body of Christ I’m doing life with. If the ‘show’ helps someone seeking God get closer to making a decision to live for God then great! It’s a vehicle to help drive ppl there. You def Don’t have to have it. Some however will need a little bit more than just a homily or dissertation on a God they’ve never experienced.
I am part of an organization that helps women who are addicted to drugs/alcohol. It is a residential program that requires “church” attendance. A local charismatic church provides transportation to its services and is the church the women are required to attend during their 1st 30 days in the program. I work on Sundays, and am required to attend with them. This does NOT sit well with me. The “service” is loud, highly people-centered, astoundingly loud and obnoxious. I cannot and will not participate. I just sit there and pray that permanent damage is not done to the girls. I wonder how much longer before I am confronted. The FEMALE preacher is fairly insistent that her “preaching” is encouraged through shouts. She requires fairly constant edification. What do I do? I don’t want to quit…but God doesn’t want me (or anyone else) there. Do I persevere and get the women to a true church (my church) as soon as I can? I would love some direction. The scripture Voddie read indicates that it is commanded to “expose them”. When do we gently instruct…and when do we confront?
The addition of music clips into this sermon is sinister, defective and judgemental of those singing. It also assumes that Voddie would approve and that this is what he is speaking to.
what about Acts 15v24 "Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment"
@@thetrigger8086 What about Acts chapter 15v5-6. It's very clear the chapter talks about Circumcision and the Laws of Moses. Please research the difference between the Laws of Moses (Colossians 2v13-17) and The Ten Commandments (Exodus 20v3-17). The Ten commandments are still binding to both Jews and non Jews. We worship with our minds AND our spirits. The point of time in musical worship is to get as close to the Father as possible. His presence is everything! The music, lights, volume, etc are just vehicles to aid. The heart of a worshipper is God and His manifest presence (King David).
Most of these people teaching this don’t believe in anything miraculous either and would never be caught dead CELEBRATING what Christ has done but would cheer at a basketball game.

I love Voddie Bauchman!! When it comes to the ‘things and gifts’ of the Spirit, we part ways. All of this teaching makes massive assumptions about other Christian’s and Pastors without any validity. We’re taught to keep things in context and yet when it comes to the ‘things’ of the Spirit y’all are taking things out of context
Completely agree. I literally had the exact thoughts. It’s a gross assumption and judgmental to say this type of worship is NOT worship and the people singing and dancing and getting emotional from music are “performing” and manipulating emotions for their gain. I love worship music and it prepares my heart and mind to be open and tender to the word that follows. -Lori

To completely nullify the emotional side of our humanism is no better than to blindly turn your brain off. Jesus declares that no man comes to Him unless they come as a little child. Child like faith. Child like innocence. Child like joy. Turn on some music and a child starts dancing
I don’t think he is talking about this new ahipHop music there is no way he’s talking about Most of Mahalia Jackson she is the OnlyOne. I listen to She is on RU-vid. I can tell you some to listen to, if anyone would like. Dr Voodie is the Best Preacher/teacher I have ever heard. About 10 percent I have to say gives me Pause. I have only been listening to him about 6 months now and I enjoy how things I didn’t know he explains very well.
