A question and answer session, following pastor Voddie Baucham's sermon on why we can believe the Bible. • Why you can believe th... Antioch Bible Church - Johannesburg, Randburg, South Africa www.antiochbiblechurch.org.za/
I agree with the sentiments about Joel Osteen but, Joyce Meyer does not pastor a church, she holds conferences. She teaches on Christian living and conduct which many need to hear. Her conferences are generously salt and peppered with scripture.
Yes believe it or not if only eevryone who refuses to believe it as a whole would vacate the churches. Hopefully persecution comes. Our last hope for a purifying.
The Bible is a reliable collection of historical documents written by eye witnesses during the lifetime of other eye witnesses. They report supernatural events that took place in fulfilment of specific prophesies and claimed their writings are divine rather than human in origin.
I wish there were more pastors like him and I wish there were more husbands and fathers who have humility and integrity. It is refreshing to hear the truth spoken without arrogance or theatrics.
0:14 Redeemed Californian 4:48 Sources 6:27 Complete? 10:05 We have 13:07 Prosperity Gospel 17:29 15:12 Paul named names 22:49 Different Ethnic/Demographic Churches 25:25 Homosexuality 29:55 _Pastors of LA_
What Voddie says at 17:20 is probably where the most significant crux and contention lies in the present-day American church: When he declares that the 'Prosperity Gospel' is dangerous because IT PROMOTES EXACTLY WHAT OUR FLESH WANTS. My mind immediately runs to 1 John 2:15. I don't necessarily agree with everything he says. But I do admire him for standing boldly and fearlessly for the fundamental truths about the Gospel. God bless...
Thank you , my beloved Pastor Voddie Baucham for standing tall always for GOD'S EVERLASTING WORD and saying: it as it is written in the Scripture 🙏GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONE'S AND YOUR MINISTRY, IN CHRIST JESUS'S STRONG NAME, I pray, Amen ✝️ 👑 🙏 ❤️ GOD BLESS THIS CHANNEL AND THOSE WHO ARE WORKING ON THIS CHANNEL AND SPREAD THIS CHANNEL'S BOARDERS WIDE, IN CHRIST JESUS'S MIGHTY AND MATCHLESS NAME, I pray, Amen ✝️ 👑 🙏 ❤️ 📖🕊🍞💦🗡⚓️🪷🌹💐
Voddie was in South Africa? I’m sure more than once since he is now based in Zambia but what?! What a bummer that during those times I was younger and couldn’t travel as and when I wanted. I could hear by the accents from the audience, like, “nah man, this is Sat’Afrikans”🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦💕💕💕💜💜🌸🌸🌸💜💜💜🔥🔥 On of the most articulate apologetics out there!!🔥🔥🔥🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾 I incredibly LOVE his work!!🔥🔥🔥💫💫💫💫💜💜💕💕🤸🏾♂️🤸🏾♂️🤸🏾♂️
I have enjoyed listening to the Q&A. I am not one to comment oftentimes. One thing I will say is that at the start of minute 33 to 34, Pastor talks about pastoring believers to the grave. Yes, indeed...once we our bodies are void of life. Our spirit lives for all eternity. He speaks as an example of himself that he is dead. I just want to say what words come to me. "My body is dead to sin, but NOW I LIVE!!" Praise our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ for opportunities to hear the true gospel spoken by Godly ordained ministers.
Heard Voddie at the Pastor's Conference in Jacksonville, FL last month. Great, knowledgeable man of God ... soon going to Africa to continue his ministry as well. Our loss, their gain.
Ian G YES! Check out Romans 1. Everybody have the knowledge of God implanted in their heart, but is suppressing that knowledge in rebellion against God, so that no one will have an excuse. Therefore, everybody deserves to go to hell *by default*. (Romans 3) However, in His grace, God has chosen to bestow mercy on some people by removing the wicked rebellion from their heart and wash their sins clean. (Romans 9) When you understand that salvation is something God does completely independent of the desire of man (John 1), then this isn't even a question. The only people who have a problem with this are those who have a man-centered theology, where God is answerable to man, instead of the other way around.
Hannodb1961 the bible is wrong, I don't know that your god exists. If i died this instant and your god existed then it could peek into my mind and see that i genuinely did not know it existed. But let's say you were right, that I died and was now bound for hell. I was born in 1982, so in 1980 before I was conceived did your god know that i was going to hell? Does your god know exactly what will happen in the future?
Ian G I am not going to argue about the existence of God with you. The fact that God - who created us and knows us inside and out - tells us that He placed the knowledge of God in our hearts, is enough. Every human being knows there is a God. However, I can tell you this: Even if I were to provide evidence for you of God's existence, you would still reject Him and refuse to believe - because "There is no evidence" is usually a handy excuse, rather than a sincere objection. This is what "suppressing the truth of God" means. That is the rebellious sinful nature of man, and we see it right through the Bible: Israel had direct visual proof that God was caring for them, and yet, they refused to trust him. Only when God birth you again and breaks down your rebellious will, will you come to Him. People don't come to God through wise argumentation, but through the Holy Spirit and the foolishness of preaching the gospel (1 Corinthians 1-3) Regarding your second question. God created time, He is eternal. He has no yesterday, today or tomorrow, He does not pass through time, He is above time. He is always the same. His is also knows all things. So yes, He knew you before you were even born, and He knew your eternal fate. (Jeremiah 1) I think I know where you're going with this, and I have the answer ready in Romans 9 - but I must warn you: You're not going to like it. If you don't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question.
Hannodb1961 okay so if God already knows that I'm going to hell is it possible for me to go to heaven? I'm asking this hypothetically, but if you are uncomfortable assuming that I'm going to help we can swap that for heaven in our scenario. So instead the question would be if God knows I'm going to heaven is it possible for me to go to hell? Or we can even make it something not so dire, we could ask: if God knows I'm going to have chicken fajitas can I instead have steak fajitas? These are not trivial questions I'm genuinely curious what your answer is.
When he started punching in I KNEW it was his 1Tim 2:12 because I know!😂 And there are more vs. AND Dr. Baucham, you handled the hip-hop very well! I too am (60+yrs old WF musician; old rock/hip hop, blues) I was playing a variety of cover music. You know you are on the right side when even your own worldly-self thinks you are being weird, nerdy etc....let alone other band members who just didn't understand "MY convictions". I didn't try to convict them though😂. I eventually straight gave up any worldly music. (You don't have to be THAT extreme. Do what YOUR "VOICE" tells you because you know WHO that IS! RIGHT?! AMEN
I love Voddie’s Preaching and teaching, it is always humbling. The only critique I have is Hip Hop doesn’t come out of gang culture. Where he grew up is where the gang culture of hip hop grew up and that’s why he thinks that’s where it grew up. It actually grew up in New York. Way before California got to it. And that culture was the party culture, not gang culture. Just letting people know so they won’t think that Hip hop grew up because of gang culture. It became famous because of gang culture and rappers from New York hated it. Said it took the fun out of the music. Just a little history for you all.
@CharaeBChicago And I'd disagree with you. Hip Hop and Rap while very close cousins, the former did begin on the West Coast while the latter had the overall beginning in New York City. When NWA in the early '90s came on the scene, they exhibited everything that Voddie mentioned. Yet, I think we are splitting hairs over small details. The Hip Hop genre, that was West Coast, did begin in the gang culture. And it was spread about by those mentioned previously along with other. Nonetheless, Voddie is spot on about the message, the ethos of Hip Hop. It is diametrically opposed to the Gospel. The ultimate point of Voddie.
I don’t disagree with the impact Hip Hop has today. My reason for even going is because if we don’t understand the history we don’t understand how to explain message. People use the Bible to explain cattle slavery or having multiple wives however we know by breaking down the Bible they are wrong to do so. So that’s to my point of using the origins of California hip hop as a reason to discredit hip hop as a whole for Christian rap. Look at its origins from the beginning and make a decision from there. Otherwise we’re operating out of fear and not clarity.
I really appreciated the comment that stated I can express my opinion because I’m not a white man to be called a racist. I have worked in a culture where white people were the minority, and the prevailing that was that if you were white you were a racist. Where is the tolerance the freedom fighters advocated for and died for in the 1960s? I truly believe that most white people who died in the south for desegregation would have rejoiced at seeing This type of enlightenment and truth.
I'm not Christian now - used to be Russian Orthodox, but I'm beginning to like how the minister talks. The question about how the Bible came to be was good; I've wondered about that myself. How did the people know which books were part of the Bible? Very interesting. I think I'll keep listening. How do you bookmark a video so you can watch it again/save it for later?
O the answer to your question is the Holy Spirit of God- who had His books written- preserved His Word and inspired the church fathers in their selection. Believe or dont believe. God sent Jesus to initiate a relationship with each individual.
They both doctrinally are opposite. Jennings believe The Father alone is God Bauchaum believes the trinity Jennings believes belief and baptism for salvation Bauchaum believes it's solely by Faith Jennings believes in tongues Bauchaum does not. Bauchaum is a reformed christian. Jennings is not. Jennings believes bible colleges are of the devil. Bauchaum went to bible college. And many more things they teach differently. You clearly don't know the bible, if you believe they BOTH speak truth. They cannot both speak truth if they disagree on many things. One is right. Voddie is right in my opinion doctrinally.
Pastor, I send your messages "erewhere". All over Facebook to my friends, some who are lost. You series on marriage I have send to my son because my grandson is almost 13 and he needs to hear them. My son is 43 and it won't hurt for him to listen as well. He treats my daughter in law like gold but we can always improve. Thank you for letting yourself and your family be used by our Lord for the work in His Word. You are in my prayers.

I would disagree about not having all the books that were available in the time that the Bible was used by the deciples There are references in the New Testament to the book of Enoch, for example. That being said, I will agree that even though it's not there anymore. That does not hinder or take away from the gospel and the message that we do have still remaining.
Good stuff......I believe that we should be mindful of dragging down the church w Hip Hop but we must understand that RAP can glorify GOD just POETRY can...Poetry is in the BIBLE....you mean to tell me adding a BEAT degrades it??...I Dont think SO.....but I appreciate his honesty and boldness..keep exalting CHRIST my brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A beat is used in all pagan cultures to lower your metal resistance and to put you in a trance to commute with demons. There is no question that some kinds of beats creates emotional states that are in opposition to the Christian ideal. We should be *very* careful not to imitate worldly music in the church. Yes, the Bible speaks of drums, but it never mentions a beat. You *can* use drums in other ways than just rhythmic pounding. I am in complete agreement with Voddie here: We should not try and "redeem" musical forms that was originally created to promote evil. Satan is the one who should be imitating us, we should not be imitating him.
+Hannodb1961 What if a beat a satanic tribe used resembled classic hymns? There are ministers who use worship music that we sing in our church in the same way. They simply repeat a song over and over again. It's a technique they use in hypnosis and acultic meditation. The same song can be used to glorify God and lull people into an altered state of consciousness. Should we stop using that music too? Isaac Watts's music was considered radical in his day as were many of the hymn writers during the reformation. The Salvation Army was criticized for using trumpets and drums in their music because this type of music was very popular in that day. It was said they compromised too much, trying to be like the world. I mean where do you draw the line? Is God sitting up in Heaven biting His nails saying, "Oh I can't anoint that! Some guru used that style of music to alter the consciences of the hearers. Whatever shall I do???" Satan worshippers use candles. Better bann those too, especially on Christmas Eve. Oh, by the way, Drueds and people of the Shinto religion arrange and display flowers.
Shelley Magnussen YES ABSOLUTELY, you should stop using that music, it is not Christian at all! Have you not read what Jesus said: _"And when you are praying, do not use _*_meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do_*_, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words"_ - Matt 6:7. What your church does is in *exact* opposition to the teaching of scripture: The repetition of words to lull the mind... just as the pagans do. It doesn't matter what the words say, because your mind is not engaged - as you admitted yourself. Nowhere in the Bible are we called to reach "altered states of consciousness" - it's a wholly pagan idea. I'm sorry to say, ma'am, but from just what you described from the music, and the amount of eastern cultic terminology you use, I can tell your church is *not* a Christian church. You probably have a cross in your church, and the pastor would talk about Jesus, and that is probably as much your church have in common with the Bible. Ofcause, you are welcome to prove me wrong by giving me a link to your church's sermons, but I bet I already have a pretty accurate idea what it's going to be like. I bet there is no sound exegesis and no preaching of sound doctrine.
Religion divides ppl and cultures… 🙏🏾 and I’m a god fearing man. But I got a serious question if I don’t accept Jesus as my savior but believe in god doe this make me not acceptable to god?
Thank you. I work in a secular job doing nails. I do refuse to polish nails of boys and men, how do you feel about me working there? I believe we are in secular jobs to be the salt and light. I wish I could work at studying God's word all day, but I don't. Abby suggestions?
There is nothing wrong with u polishing mens nails. Christ washed mens feet. Polished nails, painted nails do not equate to sin or to damnation . You are actually in situation where God has placed u in front of many different people what a great opportunity to share the gospel and change a life .
It seems to conflict to me because in the presence of outward sin it's obvious you would need to share the gospel but you may not be able to work there in that place doing that. If a customer was to begin speaking proudly about their sin what could you say within the conversation? Can you just not speak back to them? Wouldn't it be difficult to hold back? Would you rather have a different job?
Lecrea doesnt offer that , Pastor, Gospel Christian Hip hop not World Gang Related... I think so🎉😊 What about FLAMES LINE; " Whats the Latest, God is still tge Greatest."
Ok. Now I know what I asked. Where is it in the Bible where he said Jesus said take the gospel to a certain place. I forgot the name that he mentioned but tell me where it say that in the scripture thanks
I've noticed almost every christian I've ever spoken to talking about end times the way this questioner did. Like it's something that may be coming or that it seems like this is it. Can anybody point me to passages that clarify we have been in end times since the resurrection please?
