If I had to guess why they did that, they probably were tried of seeing people get perfect scores. This same concept applied to another popular music game called Osu!. I mean. Check out "Centipede osu!"
There's a PC port (unofficial) OSU droid evolution which is basically the same as PC but I like mobile more because it's portable/ it has a mp3 player for your phone also and I actually have no room to use a tablet/mouse comfortably if I wanted to play pc (no desk). Been playing for like 5 years lmao but I guess it's not spread around enough
holds can be done if your tablet has 10 point multitouch. although most androids limited at 5 points multitouch (even there's a phone with only 2 points multi touch)
