St last there is 40 60 in row if we subtract least two numbers than we get 20 In column we get the same numbers 40 and 60 then we should take the highest number 60 But why you took without subtracting the two least numbers madam

If they are same then you must check for the minimum value in the corresponding row and column of the matrix and allocate for the cell with the minimum value.
My prof. in college said when both a row and column are needed to be striked out because they result to a zero after the subtraction, we choose just one to strike out and leave the other, is this correct?
