A good friend says this hit marked the end of classic disco. Having come out on the dance floor a few months later I'll take his word, although after 29 years it seems to me to possess all of the romance and savoir-faire of the genre at its best.
This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE SONG! I first heard this in Studio 1 in West Hollywood and couldn't stop playing it in my car. I used to drive all over Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and Studio City in Los Angeles after the clubs closed and listen to this heavenly song. I don't know what it is about this song, but it will be forever in my soul I love you VOGGUE!

Brings tears to my eyes hearing this again, memories of being 19 or 20 again, massive dance classic in 1981- everyone loved this song- peak hour to being played the last song of the night.

This amazing song was The runway music in 81/82. I was watching "Style with Elsa Klensch" on CNN. The grand dame of fashion journalism made me fall in love with fashion with her style. I even skipped classes just to watch her show. Just found out that she passed away on March 4, 2022. R.I.P. Elsa. Each time I listen to this song it reminds of the glorious times of fashion and music.

This was the highlight song of 1981. By that time, much of disco (by then they called it "dance") music was watered-down, heavy on synths, too fast or just harsh. This song had those sweet violins, innocent lyrics and 124 bpm--perfect for dancing with a partner and making her look lovely.

There is simply no better song from the era. White shoes,stretch jeans, pods and funky belts. This song is simply awesome and takes me to a time of innocence and it all beginning to happen. Oh.... To be there again..... Mind blowing!!!!!
What fun it was dancing to this song it always made me feel good. Now I listen every so often and it just puts me right back to that same feeling again.

I'm nearly 64 now and this was the first record (Gay dance) I bought in Manchester, England. It was playing on the dance floor at Hero's night club. I was 21. First night in a gay club 😂❤.
OMG the memories of that song the amount of times I danced to that song in the Glasgow night clubs in the 80s was only 19 but so remember that song very happy memories

This song introduced me to "disco". Danced to it first at "La Palace" in Paris, France in 1980....and then it was a staple at "Studio 54" and even "The Saint" in NYC...great great memories this song brings back!
The Loft in N. Smithfield, Rhode Island. Lived 4 this song to play~ I remember my heart soaring when the most handsome and sexiest guy in the bar asked me to dance with him. Thanks John Pereira...wherever you are! You made my night spectacular and countless memories of a happiness long forgotten renewed again!

Good times. It was for only a moment in time but we experienced what could never be re-lived as it was like a moment in time that this happened. You could drink in the car on the way to a club so when you arrived you where at the same level the people in the clubs where in. I recall rarely seen a police car on my 20 mile trip to the city. Remembering. (lol).......
