In this "Dolphin" voice, he actually holds it for 5 seconds and ends it w/vibrato. If you listen closely, you'll hear him start in a C#8 and then slides right off the piano up to a D8! Yep, "Dimash has left the piano!!"! - just speechless...

FYI, that whistle note is a D8. It's only 4 semitones away from the male voice world record of F#8.

What gets me every time I hear this as much as the D8 is that after that insane note he stands up and continues with such a soft gentle tone as if nothing has happened.

If you listen to Qaragym-ai it is similar to Samal-tau in that only 1 or 2 instruments are used. Dimash and a pianist are the only ones there. Very emotional.

One of my favorites and it's not just the D-8, it's more about the connection with the crowd, I get so tired of his audience sitting on their hands, this is how a concert should be. Keep them coming baby girl, Autumn Strong from the Singer will bring the tears and don't overlook The Show Must Go On, what else could you want than Dimash singing Freddie and he does Freddie proud. Go with the version on the The Singer also, I love the world class orchestra behind him, really the whole production is first class, why can't we get productions like that in the States. Instead we get 2 minute limits on songs and can you imagine cutting a Dimash song to 2 minutes

Ive listened to probably 30 or so dimash songs... and most of his songs are build-ups. Very emotional but relative held back for about 70pc of the song... and the last 30pc nukes your soul out of the water.😅😅😅 His other style is just pure power and flex hahah. He doesnt do conventional singing and will always, for the most part, mix the styles up. The only thing i havent actly hear him do is heavy metal😂. And as for unforgettable days,, this version was for the fans. It wasnt the best vocal performance from him coz he was more focused on entertaining the crowd, so to speak. That whistle note was so out of place (in any song), but at the same time a gift for the people watching. As a whole performance, the best version of unforgettable days was probably “the singer” version. It was a more complete performance.

Hi Julia. While doing reaction to so many various artists... let me recommend you a dear friend of Dimash, who is one of contemporary music geniuses IMO. Hua Chenyu. The songs I'd recommend for vocal analysis - "Fake monk", "Nanping evening bells" (duet), "Nunchucks", " Idiots" duet with Lu Ma).
