I agree it's not the best fit for her voice, but I think overall they kill it instrumentally. What sells it for me, like Liliac and the Warning is the pure enthusiasm and enjoyment. Add to that their strength of belief, both theirs and their religion, I'm really impressed. Great Reaction! (And that bassist is truly amazing)

You're right Marsya is not Zack, but this band did a good job in making the crowd go crazy. And the best thing is these girls didn't skip the curse part. Remember Rome wasn't build in a day, and their hard work will pay off.

They certainly brought the right energy and entertained the crowd with great instrumentation work. The voice not matching the original didn’t bother me as I didn’t really expect it. I enjoy the two songs I’ve listened from them so far. 🤘🤘

First, rock & roll is a *spirit* and a vibe - it's all about the delivery and the attitude behind the message being delivered by the band. Thus a bunch of guys or gals jamming away in a garage is every bit as important as a super-slick, overproduced band playing in front of thousands of people. As for this cover of RATM, well Tom Morello himself told these girls in person, over Zoom, that he himself is a fan and wants to work with them.

what a great reaction!!! yeah it's a wonderful to see that music break any boundaries, to see a young muslim womens from indonesia playing rock music far away from their home, and the crowds enjoy them, nevermind what gender they are, what ever they religion, what ever they looks like, what ever they come from. and whn i see a young hijabi muslim women shouting "mothertrucker" it so fenomenal. and for me vob is not voice of baceprot (voice of noisy in sundanese) but it's voice of braveness. and i believe you are being part of this band before they blow up. thanks to react a musicians from my country, hope it brings you a positive vibes. and have a nice day...

While The Warning is my absolute favorite band right now, VoB has snuck into the number two position, even with their limited discography. And I was chuckling when you thought they wouldn't swear. Very thoughtful reaction video. Nice points about the contradictions of wearing a hijab which can be considered a very conservative aspect of religion, and can even be considered oppressive, while singing an anti-authoritarian anthem. Yet, I guess they see it as an aspect of their culture and indeed an aspect of their faith. I do agree the singers voice isn't the greatest, but their musicianship is great and, more importantly, they have a great energy and attitude. Good advice about being kind. Be honest, but don't be mean. I do think that three young, Muslim, women from Indonesia playing Metal is, in its way, rather beautiful.

I love the song, their cover, and your reaction! The only thing that could have made it better would have been if they would have ripped off their hijabs right as they started with the "F**k you I won't do what you tell me" part...now that would have been epic! If my comment sounded like I didn't respect their culture, it was not my intention, as long as it's their own choice to keep it on. It's just that in much of the world women have no say so in the matter, and they are punished severely if they take it off...now that I do not respect. @@BaldHeadedMETAL

My feeling is: if it's an obligation, then that's wrong, but if it's a cultural practice that they choose to take part in (without being punished if they don't) then that's perfectly fine. My point in my original comment was only referring to when they are forced to wear it, which happens to so many women around the world, and that's why I thought ripping it off would have been so great. Although they still did so much that would be unforgivable for women to do in much of the world that their bravery is undeniable, and that does leave me to believe that leaving on the hijab was truly their choice...but it still would have been an epic display of rebellion to rip it off.

Generally, I think metal doesn't fit the female voice but of course there are exceptions but they are excellent musicians. For me, it's hard to take them serious because of their costumes.
