this size is easier to centerize the cone. smaller than 4-5" or bigger than 12"-15", often after 2-3 months, you hear the noise of scratching and need to recone agaaaain 😫 a few pieces of thin papers must be slided inside center coil to prevent this problem till glue will be dried 😉
Basic repair principles are ok except I would be shocked if the coil didn’t rub on the magnet when completed. You must use spacer shims for proper coil centering. Also your coil depth is guess work.

You shouldn't scrape the insolation off the coil wire either. Instead you must either use molten solder or lighter flame to do so. Good work but you will get 7 out of 10 from me.
Hi I have an audiopipe 12in. Txx blue eye candy sub that was passed down from my brother that has passed away. So know it's the only brand I run. The dust cover sperated from the coil but the coil is still good. I had it in a sealed box and hit some low hz. that's the reason for it happening. It don't have to be the blue aluminum look just want to hear it play and bring back some memories of him. Please help ppl say throw it out and get a new one but I can't seem to do that. Please help me even if it is bad news.thanks for the time on this issue. Keep the videos coming they help out a lot.

Pardon my ignorance on speaker basics - would like a tiny direction for my problem. I bought a 8inch 50 watt woofer (not sub woofer) about 15 years back, used it for few hours and it sounded good. I opened it today and connected it to my amplifier and it outputs too little volume. I gently pushed the cone and spider up, and the volume goes up and it vibrates well. How can I fix it? The spider feels hard... the soft rubber on the outer edge of the cone is soft/flexible...
Is a good video but i would like you to do a repair for Sony home theater woofer speaker since mine got burnt half,coz Sony says the connection between the 2 coils is cut. But the woofer does good in moderate volume, but when i go higher my home theater system go off and give a warning of power protect. So I don't know how to handle the woofer speaker . Any help?
E muito simples de monta um alto falante mais ele está fazendo o proseso mais difícil e só calsar. 1 passo. Calsar abombina. 2 depois passa acola. Nas parte metálica 3 cola abombina e 4 desses as cone faz a saldagem da bombima para os conequitores do alto falante. Desse o cone e o tapes.

This is a old video but you learned the hard way didn't shim it it probably rubbed and shifted oh well you can break it down and re do it recone kits cost a lot of money now day
You're going to have a hard time playing that at a low volume. The coil will be touching the magnetized center. You must first assemble the coil, the spider and the basket (diaphragm) before glueing it to the frame.
Hello sir Dalton. I have a loud speaker but I want to get more bass from it. I was suggesting to transfer the cone to another basket that can accommodate a bigger voice coil. Already i have the basket and it has a has a bigger magnet. Will this idea work out as i continue to save some cash to buy a perfect driver? Please help me

Where is the spacer between the voice coil and the core to have the coil properly aligned ? I'm sorry to say but this whole speaker assembling process is incorrect from start.
