Morissette is my most favourite singer but I also know that being a reactor you are entitled to your own professional reaction, pls pls, don't get affected by negative comments below. Stay as you are and never be like those other reactors who seem so fake, taking Morissette as perfect all the time, for truthfully, she had performances before that she didn't do well, she even apologised to her audience one time for her voice failed her that time, she's that humble. There is a Wish Bus in the USA. It launched about 2 years ago. It's in LA. They have had mostly Fillipino acts guest, but some American artists have appeared here and there. My hope is that they would get a big act like Bruno Mars or Kelly Clarkson to go on it to really introduce the whole of the US to something really innovative. It's such a unique concept,but that Live factor probably would make even the most seasond artist sweat a tad! Love what you're doing here. The fact you used the word "Intonation " I'm smiling! Sometimes fans just find it difficult to hear some critiques on their idols. I hope the singers themselves can see these reactions too, for their own growth. Also, I love how Morissette seems to just let it go all the way and yet seems to have calculated exactly what she's doing.
Try reacting to her cover "I want to know what love is" where you can hear a lot of dif dynamics of her voice, belts, chest and headvoice, longer whistle that you can't imagine it's possible and the squeaks..

I love Moressette voice all of it but my favorite part is the little cries or cracks or whatever they are called in her voice, to me that part makes her distinctive from other Filipino singers and there are lots of great ones.

What do you call those squeaks she does when changing notes to give added emotion? There is some uncertainty about the terminology. So any final judgement would be appreciated. To my mind there is no finer Pop/Ballad singer going on the planet. Morissette has just finished a group of her favorite show tunes. I don't want to limit her to any specific genre', or genres'. I, personally don't think there is a kind of music she couldn't sing. Anyway, I think she is wonderful and has few equals.

I personally find pausing at and/or sometimes rewinding back to a note-worthy point to be an optimal way of going about a vocal performance analysis. There's definitely nothing wrong with your method of approach coach so just go with what you've always been doing. Oh and just in case you're still interested in featuring Morissette in the future but in a slightly different scenario, you might want to check out two of her duet performances. My favorites are "Diyan Ba Sa Langit" with Jason Dy also on the 107.5 Wish Bus. The mere meaning of reacting are both ways its either positively or the other way around. So its not relatively right for others to hate what you do to whom you react to. Its u'r right. And its for them to like it or not. but for me u'r one of the best reactors whom i follow, coz sometimes u'r suggesting what the subject (singer) should do better. Coz the singer can't react to herself, wither she's better with her technique or not at that moment.
