Didn't expect you to return so soon. The key is definitely higher. Someone said that Sohyang started the song at a key higher than Whitney Houston finished with the song:-) I don't know if it's true and not really relevant but fun to hear. Given her voice, she often rearranges the song to suit her voice and the message she intends. Her control is indeed phenomenal. Other than technical proficiency, Sohyang's singing is marked by her emotive delivery that can reach out and touch her audience like few can. Thank you for such thoughtful analysis. You should warn people that the original is distorted presumably to avoid copyright issues and they should listen to the original. "Everyone" I second - it overlaps less in vocal range and style with the songs you reacted. People always suggest her big English language performances (You Raise Me Up, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, O Holy Night, etc.) and Arirang Alone (Korean folk song) and these are very beautiful. But she uses different musical styles and vocal colors to match other genres - emotionally intense Korean ballads (Breathe, Hug Me, Fate, Where Are You, Do You Know, Dear Love, Never Ending Story, Home is the happy exception), inspirational songs (her own "Dream", Running to the Sky, I Believe I Can Fly), rock (Mona Lisa), old jazz (Misty), torch songs (I Always Miss You), fun musical numbers (Childish Adult), rap (Day Day), soundtracks for films (Disney's Korean Moana) and Korean dramas (Wind Song, Only My Heart Knows, Road), and dozens of gospel and Christian tunes (Upon This Rock, Amazing Grace).

Another great react. You should probably do Everyone and/or Arirang Alone next (they will both wreck you) but she's also released some new music recently - Amazing Grace and a duet with Greg Priester of You are the Reason which are a little less flashy but no less beautiful. Also there are a ton of good quality fan cams out there of songs that are Copyright Strike bait like Fate and O Holy Night which show how her live concert voice is even more resonant than the TV production audio allows.

Super connected registers, breath support for dayz, and supreme control of dynamics, which she often weaves subtly, making rewatching her performances a treat, to catch what first viewing misses.
