I was waiting for that “cry”, just to see you pull what is now knows as the “Chris Stapleton Stank Face”. Everyone does it when they first hear that note. Everyone. And that’s how you know he’s so damn good. Stank Face, every time. 😂

I’ve been waiting to see if you would review Chris Stapleton.....and my prediction of your reaction was right. Lol. Chris Stapleton is a whole new level of singer. He’s blues he’s raw and he’s country. He wrote songs for other artist before he started singing himself and you’ll be surprised about some the artist singing his material and I wish he would sing them all himself. I saw Chris live last year and I cried lol. If you were to listen to just one country artist in your life..... hands down.... Chris Stapleton all the way.

Before you I have neevr subscribed to anyone or watched all their videos however I have to rush to watch everything you do as soon as my phone pings and tells me you have posted. I LOVE your blatant, genuine expressions of love and appreciation for singers (from novices to international performers) and your reactions are always so kind, reasoned amd well explained. The first Chris Stapleton song I heard was Tennessee Whiskey, I fell in love with that song, and was like "Oh, I guess I do kinda like country music." and then last night in my recommended was a reaction video to Sometimes I Cry and it floored me. His voice is out of this world. It's almost like he's not even a country music singer, but more on the blues/soul side of things. I said this a few other places when people react to Christ Stapleton, or hear him for the first time. When his career is over he will go down as one of the titans of music. I don't mean a legend of country, blues, or even rock and roll. I mean a titan across all music. He will be mentioned with Elvis. Micheal Jackson, the Beatles, or anyone else you want to name. Chris Stapleton will have a 40 year career of putting out top notch, well written, and well performed music.

This is the best explanation for this vocal I’ve heard. As someone who’s uneducated in vocals but been singing for a long time I feel like you’ve got it. You never talked about the tongue forward, through the nose and ears singing this is But still feel like you have a good explanation and totally get it. Explaining mouth shape and levels of throat is above those who don’t sing.. Will watch more of your stuff 👍

I remember when I first heard this song, it was on in the background at home. I think he was on The Tonight Show. It literally made me get up from whatever I was doing, head into the living room, and sit down and watch the whole thing. I was blown away.

I highly suggest you check out Chris Stapleton’s full music catalog. He has an amazing range of voice and style. And if you like that natural, bluesy sound, you will love his music. Johnny Lang also has a similar sound. He is more blues than country but is also amazing.

So glad you've brought Chris Stapleton to people's attention. Voice is smoother than silk, guitar adds emotion, amazing song construction. The perfect blend of blues and country. Tennessee whiskey has to be next!
