Andy, you could go through 10 lifetimes and not find another Dimash.. There is no recording of the last one spoken of historically. Oddly, it is the baritone voices that are more able to transition through the register to ascend to higher ranges, but none like Dimash. I believe it is because his core tenor is so well positioned. Only God could have created the perfect structure that carries this angelic voice.
Hi Andy, An absolutely Awesome reaction to this phenomenal performance. This was composed by Igor especially for Dimash to perform at the opening ceremony of the European games, Minsk in June 2019, all his versions of this are brilliant, they cant be anything else really with such a powerful, inspirational song, My personal favourite is when he performed this in July 2019 at his solo Arnau concert 'kinetic voice' in his own country at the Astana arena, totally different vibe being his own concert and his own dancers, same musicians and a fabulous atmosphere with 45,000 dears in the audience!! I love when your jaw dropped when he started singing in his higher register....you must have forgotten how good he is!!! And Dimash is totally committed to the lyrics , as usual. This was during the opening ceremony of the annual World Skills competition in Kazan (2019), Russia. 60+ countries send representatives to show their vocational skills. The venue is the Kazan soccer stadium (Capacity 45,000). The stages revolve in 2 directions so that the entire stadium gets a view of the performers. Upper Level (Dimash) is rotating clockwise, the lower ring (chorus) is counter-clockwise. This song was written for Dimash specifically by Igor Krutoy as an inspirational motivating song for the 2nd European Games held in Minsk earlier that same year.

I remember how amazed I was when I first heard Olimpico. Dimash is definitely the master of vocals. He owns the song and he owns the stage. This was one of his songs that put the DEAR stamp on me forever.

I have loved every performance of Ogni Pietra (Olimpico) I have seen, but this one has always stood out since it was the first I saw of Dimash performing it.
