As I understand, this traditional new year's song is so revered in China that it's only allowed to be performed by invitation. Dimash has been invited to sing it three years in a row. Each of his performances of "Jasmine" have their own special twist. This version with Dimash and multiple Grammy-winner Wu Tong is my favorite.

I love this song and the harmonies between Dimash and Wu Tong . Both amazing singers! It’s too bad this version did not show more of the two singers and the back and forth between them. It was lost with all the background scenes in the video. This is my favourite version of Jasmine out of the three that Dimash has performed, but they are all wonderful. It is an honour to be invited to sing this song and Dimash was invited 3 years in a row to sing it! Please react to Dimash’s two newest songs Your Love and Across Endless Dimensions. The last one is an OST for a new sci-fi movie. The theatre debut had to be postponed due to COVID but the soundtrack has bern released. The problem with this manipulated version of the performance is you barely get to see the actual singing. All the parts of this video that do not include Dimash and Wu Tong were added and not part of the original performance. The music is fun and beautiful, a Middle Eastern tone, the 2 voices combined very well. Wu Tong is a very talented musician, recognized and awarded in China. He participated in SINGER 2017 in a performance by Dimash's friend, singer TERRY LIN. Dimash, as always creative in his vocal techniques, makes everything more beautiful.

I see him more a a classical Soviet peoples artist a legacy from Kazakhstan's Soviet past. I see him in the Shostakovitch and Prokofiev tradition.
