I didn’t know Christine, but a very dear friend of mine produced a couple of their albums back in the day, and he told me that she was one of the most empathetic and kind people he ever knew. Thanks for pointing out how good this performance was. Cheers!
She had such a richness to her voice. Her ability to harmonize with each individual band member was amazing. I was a huge fan. Saw them several times in the seventies. Glad I can carry the memories. She will be missed deeply. Thanks for remembering her with such sweetness.
same here man, my parents played this when i was growing up and you get a overwhelming indescribable nostaglic feeling from their music, truly magical, best band ever in my opinion, RIP Christine McVie
My biological grandma loved Fleetwood Mac so much she’s the reason I listen to them. I have two kids and ever since they were babies I’ve sang this song and landslide to them. It always makes me cry because they’re so much bigger. I wanna be with them everywhere ❤
I totally feel your emotions on this! When Fleetwood Mac was taking off in the early 80s, I was living in a very abusive household and dealing with middle school bullies. My life was so miserable for such a young age 😞 Music truly did save me though! I got into choir and even competed with a group from school at state competition, and music truly was my best friend back then!!! Thank you so much for sharing this and your authentic self 😊❤️❤️❤️❤️
I got into Fleetwood Mac as a teenager years ago because of Lindsey Buckingham's guitar playing since I picked up my first guitar and wanted to copy the greats. As I kept listening to them it hit me that they're all actually really fucking great musicians and songwriters. They managed to hit "that" feeling and Christie McVie is one of the major reasons why I fell in love with them with her vocal work. Just a shame I never took a shot at seeing them whenever they came around my neck of the woods.
Hello from Spain. Yes, I am total agree with you, Christine MacVie and Fleetwood Mac are one of the best groups and we need their music. Thank you so much.
A stunning live performance of a beautiful song, Christine was the definition of underrated, her harmonies with Stevie Nicks were always perfection. Music the only time machine created, listening to music can take you back in time to all sorts of amazing places.
Thank you so much for this reaction Andy. Fleetwood Mac is one of my favorite bands. I love them all and I felt very sad when Christine McVie passed away, so for me this is such a beautiful tribute to our beautiful and talented Christine. Thank you!🙏🏼💕
Fleetwood Mac has such powerful hits that it is extremely difficult to pick one, but among all of them, I think Sara is one of the ones that moves and surprises me the most, especially due to the impactful performances of Stevie Nicks. But I totally agree with you on how Christine MacVie was an underrated singer and a great keyboard player, and one that we will all miss. Cheers from Rio de Janeiro!
It’s hard knowing Fleetwood Mac is done now that Christine is gone. Such a magical band, all so amazingly talented. Also, Lindsey is such an underrated guitarist, he is one if the best guitarist IMO.
Thank you for making this video, it gives a place for all of the Christine McVie fans to pay respects to her. I'm the only one out of my friends group that loves Christine McVie, and your video helped me mourn and express the loss of Christine. I'm thankful and grateful for the Insight you've provided.
I like Lindsey Buckingham's added guitar arpeggios layered on top of the electronic patterns here. I don't think that's on the original studio version, but his guitar work really enhances the song!
First time watching your channel, you hit head on that music takes you back to a certain time whether good or bad. I'm an 80s kids so any song that takes me back to my childhood is emotional.
Bless this guy's heart! I get emotional too, totally understand. I feel Christine was often overlooked compared to Stevie (who I love) but they were equals to me. RIP songbird 💔
Andy - incredibly beautiful tribute to Christine and FM as a band. I have been a fan of their's since the 70's and, of course, am saddened by the passing of Ms. McVie. She was a class act! R.I.P. Songbird.
Her voice was unmistakable and soulful. So distinct as was Karen Carpenter. We’ve lost so many through the generations. Another one gone makes me appreciate them even move. ❤
Everywhere and Over My Head are my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs. Of all of their songs, the only ones that make me smile and/or roll down the windows are Over My Head, You Make Loving Fun, Sara, and I Know I'm Not Wrong. I miss Christine. I'm so glad I was able to see them in concert.
I love the diversity of FM. She was the higher voice, though I think not a soprano. Her lyrics were light and pop driven. I love Hold Me and Warm Ways. I enjoy Stevie’s drama and darker lyrics. Lindsey has a unique tenor. The 3 part harmony is powerful. People tend to cast this rivalry on them. They were the best of friends. Christine enjoyed being back and was more than happy for Stevie and Lindsey to front. Live I suggest Silver Spring.
Gracias.
Me encanta.
I was lucky enough to see Fleetwood Mac on what became their last tour in 2019 at Wembley in the UK. Christine performed this song and it was magical. I still have the footage I took, abit ruined by my own singing, not to her standard of course!
My favourite Fleetwood Mac song! Please could you react to “Stay” by Shakespears Sister, a stunning 90s ballad. Make sure you do it to the official video, you’ll love it 🖤
Ohhh yes!! Fleetwood Mac has always been a well oiled machine when they perform! Great timing, they never miss a beat. I had no idea she passed away until recently and then heard the song in a car Commercial for the newest electric Chevy!! Lol. Hadn’t heard it in years! I remmeber watching the music video on MTV or VH1 as a little kid! Lol❤ rip Christine.
Lovely reaction 👍🏻👊🏻 Please check out Marillion, you'll love it. The singer lives every word he sings, so react to a live performance! Try Power or Sounds that can't be made. ....One day I'll play you sounds that can't be made They'll sing in you from somewhere inside your head You'll never hear them from the earth or the air You'll never hear them from the outside world You'll hear it happen inside you Silent and high... ...No it aint just in your mind babe It's inside you Dig it out, dig it out It's inside you Only love can stop you from merely existing Play me sounds that can't be made
They do sound pretty perfect but it's almost impossible to time vocal tracks to live performances. Who knows? I think this was in 1997. I was still singing to cassettes in 1997! LOL.
You have to credit lindsey buckingham he made that whole album what everyone said that stevie was not there at all lindsey recorded the record at his house he would tell mick and stevie go outside to the rv they did lot of coke back then lindsey said he didn't recognize stevie she would come over when she could it was done mostly done by cristina and lindsey made that songs and stevie nicks wanted to tour lindsey said he's had it he quit the band stevie and lindsey got into she went alfer lindsey and the rest band just watched stevie was yelling at lindsey lindsey thew stevie on top of the hood of his car john mcvie had break up the crazy fight lindsey torn out of cristina house and stevie guit the band about three years later.
Some punctuation would make your comment much easier to read. Regarding Lindsay, all the fans credit him for the album but this vid isn't about Fleetwood Mac drama, it's about their talents in this performance (especially Christine's)..✌️
Great song great reaction. Thanks for honoring this awesome performer Christine McVie ❤. She was monumental to the bands success. She was often over shadowed by Stevie Knicks because she was shyer and more sareen but equally if not more talented. Yes she wrote this song and lyrics. On the fleetwood Mac best hits album there are 16 tracks. 8 of them are from Christine. So many hits for the band.Other songs with her lead vocals that she also wrote..... Over My Head, Hold Me, You Make Loving Fun, Say You Love Me, and probably her best that really showcases her vocal talent "Song bird" I belive you can get these live from the same concert. Christine's Over My Head is also done great live on the Midnight Special. A huge solo hit for her was "You Got A Hold On Me" please react to more Christine RIP sweet songbird we'll miss you
