The first time I saw her singing Adagio in front of me, I was just 3 meters far from her, i'll remember this time all my life. At the end of the song she had to take few seconds to come back to earth, as she was possessed by something divine.

Lara moved with her mom to Italy; specifically, Sicilia at a young age growing up with her Mom & her Grand Momma. She lives in Canada & she has become a naturalized Canadian Citizen. “Lara with love” my all time favorite live concert. And please react to her final song from this remarkable concert. It’s called “ Broken Vow” which she wrote the lyrics to and she introduces it by explaining how the inspiration for the song came to her. The song is about betrayal but also about redemption ( forgiveness) and anyone whose heart at one time was broken will relate to this masterpiece of emotionally impactful heartwrencing brilliance. I cry every time I hear this. She is so much into this song that she does something near the end of her performance that I’ve never seen done by a performer ( turns her back ) and you think she’s totally broken but then she.... I won’t spoil it but you MUST react to this-the final song in my favorite concert of all times by any performer!! Al
She wrote this entire album, also the Spanish songs of the Spanish version of it. This song means a lot for her. She wrote when she was in depression because of the situation with her almost husband at the time. Hee cheated her with a young model, while Lara was at her tour in Canada. Also, Barbra Streinsaf herself called Lara and asked her to record this song, which made Lara even prouder of her great work. Barbra and Lara met each other in 1995, in NYC, her friend David Foster introduced them. Josh Groban also released this song some years after Lara. The performances of "To Love Again" And "Perdere L'amore' are out of this world. Thank you.

But Lara Fabian singing songs like Adagio, Je Suis Malade, You're Not From Here, Caruso, Broken Vow, that is the Lara Fabian who's voice touches my soul. Even if I don't understand the language that Lara is singing I understand the feelings that are being conveyed. Lara Fabian becomes the character in the song that she is singing. That whole show was a treat for the eyes and the ears. Best period for Lara in my book. She’s still awesome nowadays, no question about it, but late 90s/early 2000s, is the best to my ears. She had the perfect balance between power show off and singing technique. Thanks for the reaction though. I always enjoy people’s face dropping when she starts hitting some notes.
she is simply UNIQUE. NO ONE can sing "adagio" the way she does plus it is her song (written by her in both english and italian). she is full package. the queen of resonance and emotivity. I like Dimash, still not a big fun of his, but he has a looong way to go before he can reach, if he ever does, her level of emotivity, sometimes he gives the impression of yelling and it bothers me a lot.

Lara is singing for 3 decades now. She decided to put Lyrics in this very famous Italian classical music written by Albinoni. She recorded that song in 1999 with her debut English album. Because of her Italian root, she wrote that song in Italian first and then in English. When Sony music people heard this song, they told to Lara to make the record in English as well.

Dimash is just mimicking, there's no feeling in his singing. He does a lot of vocal exercises, like „look, what I can do”, but that's far away from what singing for people has to be. Technically, he may be good but art is about emotions not just technics.

Lara had the misfortune to be 2 year younger than Céline and with a less able manager... But Lara is my favorite, she doesn't sing, she radiates emotions... Her rendition of "Je Suis Malade" from her concert "From Lara with love" is just too much... You won't care that it's in French! ;) Check out her Caruso performance too! She's an absolute gem.

Great reaction & analysis! If you only knew her dance songs then you are in for so many treats! I agree with the other requests here but I also highly recommend her songs from her Mademoiselle Zhivago concert. Dimash covered several of them. But "Llora" is the one I would love to see first. It will make you feel like you're soaring. Lara is the most amazing singer as well as a brilliant songwriter and an incredible human being. She risked her early career when she wrote "La Différence" in support of marriage equality. And it became a fan favorite song. It won't get requested so it's safe to just go enjoy, there's an official video as well as wonderful concert videos. It's just very special, and when I learned this about her she won my heart and soul completely.
