FYI- the "you should see the size of his wallet" - that's Earl, Eli, Layne, and Geoff's spouses. The guy handing Earl the sandwich is their late friend Rek (whom the dedication at the end of their "Halo" cover is in regard to. )
I don't think I've seen another reactor - and I've seen a lot - react with so much joy to this video. Loved your enthusiasm. I understand that the last few aren't your thing but being British OneD is well known to me and even at my advanced age I do hear the new stuff as well as the old. I loved all of this, so much talent. So much fun.
I think your the first reactor I've seen who expected to see Beatles among the boybands. Most seem surprise surprised by that, even when eventually agreeing.
I'm so glad you reacted to this one. It's one of the top VP videos that can always put a smile on my face. As per usual, they went all in with costumes, choreography, and song choices, and that's why we love them so much. A couple others from VP that can always brighten my day are Mr. Blue Sky and Still Alive from Portal.
As someone who loves watching other people dance but has the proverbial 'two left feet' when I try to do any dancing, I appreciate the fact that when VoicePlay (or Geoff in his solo videos) makes the decision to add choreography, they reach out to professional choreographers for help. It's fun as a patron to watch the 'behind the scenes' videos to see them practicing. With this song in particular, there were numerous times when they would get 95% of the way through a shot and then someone would mess up, but they always retained their sense of humor and kept at it until they finally got a usable shot. I have to admit, their least successful was the 'Enemy' video they did with K-pop star AleXa, because it some parts they were encouraged to 'improvise' and I got the feeling they were like, "Hey, this is VOICEPlay not DANCEPlay, we need more definite directions on what you want us to do!", LOL. In the end, a lot of their choreography got eliminated for the final video, which I think was just as well. It was best to leave the spotlight on AleXa, who could do it well!
I am way older than you and only recognized the Beatles and the Four Seasons. Didn't matter, cause it's Voiceplay and they are fantastic! Every ding dong thing they do is great. Even if I don't like a particular piece, I can enjoy their skill and craftsmanship. I hope you enjoy their new Christmas cover, Geoff's too!
Check out mission/Jingle bells by voiceplay it will blow your mind. They also have a new Christmas song. Also I know you would like Geoff's version of High and Dry by Radiohead.
