Space pirates indeed!!! Yes, a video wall. They all had to brave the contact lenses... which many of them don't like 😆. Very difficult song - the beatboxing takes the prize here...🌹🕊

the great colored contact adventures of VP....should be a whole video in itself.

Just before this song plays in WarFrame, there is a bit of dialogue from the character who sings the song: "I was working in an exosuit when the Tempstarii (a "ghost spaceship") destroyed Lucretia Platform (a space station). I drifted for days among the frozen fragments of my crew, my sisters. I dreamed their dead, gaping mouths were singing with me yet." Everyone is amazing in this but Geoff's walking bass line simply makes it! Cesar is wearing a white lens in his right eye, with Omar wearing it in his left. They also share a pair of blue lenses. Eli is wearing bright green/turquoise, Layne is wearing purple, and Geoff is wearing gold. The space where they shot the video is called OptiView. It has a ton of funky lights/video screens/games. you name it. VoicePlay shot on their LED wall and floor area. Geoff had a devil of a time with continuity errors, even doing some reshoots, but several made it into the final cut. Can you find them all? The first is within the first 15 seconds.

What a driving piece of music. It definitely has a bit of sea shanty to it and that can definitely work for spaceships too. Being a sci-fi fan for over 50 yrs (raised at Cape Canaveral with the first Americans in space), if it's a long haul, then they may be in cryo-sleep, sleeping in the cold below. Don't know anything about Warframe so it's just a wild guess.

I think you need to fix your thumbnail 😅 I had never heard this song before and it’s quickly become one of my favorites. They were at a special studio that had giant 4K LED screens like a stage. The behind the scenes was really cool. ❤

Hmmmm, very cool! Video game music is actually much more complex and integral than I would have ever guessed.

After they released their Dragonborn, I went out and checked out the soundtrack and I’ve taken several songs from that and put it in my going to bed playlist. I left out all the battle ones, but a lot of that music is absolutely beautiful. So now every time they do a video game I go out and check to see if I can find the album or at least the composer. I found a lot of great instrumental piecesthat way.

@@janetdw another game that has fantastic music is Baldur's Gate 3 :) I'd LOVE to hear VoicePlay do a cover of Raphael's Final Act from that game! It's such an over the top, theatrical kind of song perfectly suited to Raphael's character (he's the boss, and he's singing his own boss fight music lol it's such a wild experience as a gamer to be fighting a boss that's singing to you in such a menacing way - it's such a fun fight btw) and it's right up VoicePlay's a cappella alley :P

@@zarasha8220 I’ll check it out, but I don’t usually do a lot of the Battle scenes ( they go on an “energizing” playlist . I really love those slow sonorous pieces.

@@janetdw I'd say the majority of the music in BG3 is more chill, at times very bright and peaceful, other times very dark and brooding... but Raphael's Final Act is such an interesting one because of the way it's presented - the fight with Raphael begins, and he (true to form) launches into his own boss music. As tough as that fight was, it was so much fun and I had a huge smile on my face the whole time lol

It was a video wall. If you check their description, they say the studios where they did this. The same place they did the Valhalla calling video.

Actually a different place. The one for "Valhalla Calling" had an even bigger LED screen, but not the LED floor. That studio was named Vü.

I love this cover. I have tried to play Warframe, but Skyrim is more my speed. Layne is a beatboxing beast in this cover. I think calling it a space shanty fits perfectly...lol. This cover is absolute fire. Great reaction!

VoicePlay usually drops at least one full length new video a month. There’s often some minis too.

Apparently from the snippets I read this is sung by a survivor of the devastation of a spaceship. The sisters are those who were lost in the demolition?, explosion? (Of the spaceship.) She’s the lone survivor and this is sort of a lament. Sleeping in the cold below probably means the cold of space I’m guessing. But then I thought of long-term space travel also where if you were asleep cryogenically that would be sleeping in the cold below too. I’m curious but not curious curious enough to play the game.

The original song is available on RU-vid. Not at all familiar with Warframe, although the screenshot for the original song definitely has a space-piratey (is that a word?) feel. The song is originally sung with a female lead and all female (I think) chorus, which explains the "sisters" references throughout the song, but as to the meaning...I have no real ideas, your guess is as good as mine.

I'm sure you've watched the outro since you recorded this, it showed some behind the scenes footage, including the LED screens

I think they may have avoided noticeable shadows on the floor simply by making the floor pretty dark and having enough light sources in the room that any given spot was lit from multiple directions. Pretty sure the video wall is only the wall.

Wrong. The LED screens were behind them and the stage was also LED.
