Since I first heard this one, I can't stop smiling whenever I hear it. It's fantastic, so creative and the virtuosity is phenomenal. Thanks for reacting, it was definitively worth it!!
This was a sequel to their "Hall of the Mountain King" video they did last year with Elizabeth. The characters of Layne, Eli, Geoff, and Cesar all are the same from that video. Only Rachel was different. Other videos from VoicePlay like this: Their Halo Theme Song, Dragonborn Comes from Skyrim video
Hall of the Mountain King was the precursor to this one - also by Layne. LOVE this. This thread really sets them apart. NO ONE else is doing this - (and I'm sure it's cheaper to produce since there wouldn't be the copywriter claims.) So creative!
Yet there was another reactor who covered up the video claiming it was a copyright issue . He has been doing that to a lot of Voice Plays videos & not to anyone else's.
So happy to see you jump on this one so quickly! Fortunately for me, they put the whole list in the description. I recognized them all, but couldn't have named the music or composer for most of them.
Fun information for you. Layne calls this passion project "Mountain King 2.0." The trolls are now officially know as the Grundels, their first names currently being their colors. ""At the end of the In the Hall of the Mountain King video, they ended up banished by the Violet Warrior Queen to the Underworld. Fortunately, Green-Grundel, the clevel one, found a way out. Of course, he brought his friends with him. When the Grundels reappear, they are in a new and mysterious part of the forest where they encounter the Dazzling White Witch." While the VP characters are the same, there are differences in costuming and makeup, most notably with Layne and Geoff. This is a new "spooky forest" set at PattyCake Productions that has been filling up their studio since February. But they've used it for several projects. That is the classic Wilhelm Scream during the Dance of the Hours section. Cesar steals Geoff's voice then Rachel's voice, not singing that part of the Für Elise section himself. The color of the fire shows who is casting the spell. for example, during the Can Can segment. the music shifts from major to minor as Rachel reclaims the book from Eli, undoing his spell. You can see his green smoke collapsing back into the fire. At the end, she conjures up everyone's colors in the smoke to banish them.
The Grundels are back from The Hall of the Mountain King and getting into more mischief. The looks on Geoff's face. Layne and Tony built the forest for the Villains Lair. They or Geoff could use it for Halloween 🎃🎃.
