Welcome to the rabbit hole of Voiceplay. All of their voices are amazing. The bass/lead on this is Geoff (Jeff) Castelucci and he has his own page that is amazing. He has about a 5-octave range. With this group, pick a genre and you won’t be let down. The guy playing Zero is Layne Stein and he’s the vocal percussion/beat boxer and bald guy is Eli (pronounced Ellie) and he is a rock tenor beast. Bearded guy is Earl (no longer with Voiceplay) and then you have J-None who left for the Navy but has been a guest artist recently on Nothing Else Matters, Valhalla Calling, In the Air Tonight and their recent release of Hellfire from Hunchback of Notre Dame. They also now have Ceasar De La Rosa as a member and he has a quintessential Disney voice that can do it all. Enjoy the Voiceplay and Geoff Castelucci journey.

They have also done This Is Halloween, What's This, and Kidnap the Sandy Claws. Geoff, the bass, did Jack's Lament as a solo They also have a ton of other stuff from a large Disney catalog to Metallica to Broadway. Everything is amazing, you really can't go wrong.

Santa Claus was played by Geoff's brother-in-law, but the voice was done by Eli, the bald tenor. They are very creative. Their Grinch is fantastic. Last year they did Hide and Seek (Ding Dong) with Lauren Paley, the stairwell siren. They also did an acapella arrangement of In the Hall of the Mountain King. An orchestral piece, no lyrics, but the turned it into an hysterical trollish tale. Trust me, you will love it. Subscribed in anticipation of more Voiceplay and Geoff Castellucci (Jack's Lament).

Yes. VoicePlay has done Oogie Boogie, This is Halloween, Kidnap the Sandy Claws, What's This? and Geoff's solo on Saturday was Jack's Lament and it is gorgeous. If you are up for it, Geoff's other Halloween songs are: The Monster Mash, The Headless Horseman, Ghostriders in the Sky and a couple of narrations of Poe's The Raven and also The Telltale Heart. VoicePlay's others are In The Hall Of The Mountain King, Hide and Seek, Grim Grinning Ghosts, Friends on the Other Side, a trilogy - Trapped in 3 Minutes, Panic in 4 Minutes Parts 1 and 2 - do together, followed by Queen in 5 Minutes. And there is more. They love Halloween.

VoicePlay are the kings of Halloween! And... basically anything they set their minds to, honestly. But they particularly shine in Spooky Season, when their natural tendency toward theatrics is only heightened. They haven't performed the entire Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack (although it's starting to look inevitable, lol), but VoicePlay have covered 4 songs (This Is Halloween, What's This?, Kidnap the Sandy Claws and Oogie Boogie's Song) while Geoff Castellucci (the bass vocalist) has covered Jack's Lament on his solo channel, with all the same theatrics as you see in VoicePlay's videos. VoicePlay have also done some spooky covers of Superstition, Hellfire, In the Hall of the Mountain King and Friends on the Other Side, while Geoff has covered the Headless Horseman and Ghost RIders in the Sky as part of his Halloween collection. But their greatness doesn't stop at Halloween tracks. VoicePlay has done a lot of serious work, including (as another commenter mentioned) Nothing Else Matters by Metallica, Dream On (Aerosmith), In the Air Tonight (Phil Collins), Hoist the Colours (from the Pirates of the Caribbean 3 soundtrack) and I Can't Make You Love Me (Bonnie Raitt), just to name a few. Geoff has done some magnificent covers on his own as well- Sixteen Tons (a famous Tennessee Ernie Ford song), Ain't No Sunshine (Bill Withers), House of the Rising Sun (everyone and their uncle) and I See Fire (by Ed Sheeran, from the Hobbit soundtrack).

Voiceplay is obsessed with The Nightmare Before Christmas. They may have not sung every song, but a lot of them. They even have Lock, Shock, and Barrel masks hanging up in my favorite Voiceplay video “In the Hall of the Mountain King”

Santa is the bass, Geoff Castellucci, brother is in law. The guy in red is Eli (like jelly) Jacobson, joined in 2010. Layne Stein, Zero, founded the group in 1997 with the other former members. Cesar De La Rosa replaced J None in 2021 when he left. J None comes as often as he can to sing with the guys.... Geoff, Layne, Eli and Cesar. Voiceplay new Halloween video just released on Friday.... Hellfire from Hunchback of Notre Dame. Geoff Castellucci has his own channel where he sings solo with instruments. He clones himself 3-4 times for harmonies. His new Halloween video was released on Saturday.... Jack's Lament from Nightmare Before Christmas. He also has several other Halloween videos.... Monster Mash, Ghost Riders In The Sky and Headless Horseman. These guys are known as both The Theater Kids of Acapella and The Kings of Halloween because of their love of dressing up and performing. They are in Orlando and all performed at Universal Studios Orlando and/or Disney World. These guys are extremely talented in everything they do. They are independent and do everything themselves. From concept to RU-vid and beyond. Except intricate make-up, camera and audio mixing.

Acapella is amazing, and this is definitely Geoff's track, he absolutely nails it. My fave is their version of Kidnap The Sandy Claus, that is a phenomenal take and you get that incredible flow of Danny Elfman's lyrics with the frankly virtuoso use of their voices. Well worth checking out.

Dude is literally singing the brown noise from South Park at 4:14 . Geoff can get crazy deep with his voice, he's great

This was my introduction to VoicePlay and it got me hooked. I love the Nightmare Before Christmas and I was like you guys. I just thought, that was so much fun. I can tell you, their Grinch cover is good too. It made me feel so nostalgic for the old cartoon. And definitely don't miss "Jack's Lament" from Geoff. It's new and arguably, his best so far. VoicePlay is often called the Theater Kids of acapalla, because they tend to go whole hog when it comes to makeup and costumes. And yeah, Geoff -- the bass -- has an amazing range.

Not exactly the best song to introduce someone to Voiceplay, but maybe the most common. 🙂 And they just OWN Halloween 😅. But they're EXTREMELY versatile. You can find pretty much every genre in their catalogue. 🙂 As pretty much all of them have a background in Disney and/or Universal theme parks, they covered a bunch of Disney stuff (I'd suggest "Hoist the Colours" from Pirates of the Caribbean III or "We don't talk about Bruno" from Encanto... The latter was good enough that Disney hired them to perform it a private corporate event 😉), but they covered as well nice good rock songs (their post-apocalyptic trilogy includes Aerosmith's "Dream on", and they made an amazing version of Metallica's "Nothing else matters", but also more classic stuff like Carry on wayward son, Tennessee whiskey and many more), video games stuff (Halo theme, just incredible, "approved" by the author himself in a reaction hosted by The Charismatic Voice... But also "The Dragonborn comes - Skyrim", or "My Mother told me" from Assassins Creed V - Valhalla", which had a follow up in "Valhalla calling" originally by Miracle of Sound, who watched their rendition and gave them "10 raised alehorns out of 10" for the most creative cover of the song), or classic sweet, emotional stuff like "Can't help falling in love", "True colours", "I can't make you love me"...), and Broadway medleys lie "Wicked", or "The greatest showman". But everything in their channel is great. 🙂 So, welcome to their rabbit hole... And BTW, the bass singer, Geoff Castellucci (who had the lead here, which is very rare... They distribute the lead among all, or most of, the members, usually) has his own "solo" channel which is totally worth a check. 😉 See you next time!

I've loved this movie for 30 years, but this is the only version of the Oogie Boogie's Song that I will now accept.

They did do almost the entire soundtrack. I like their cover of Kidnap the Sandy Claws ft. Rachel Potter the best. They also have some rock music that will blow your mind away. Seven Nation Army, Nothing Else Matters, Carry On My Wayward son, In the Air Tonight.. Listening to the commentary at the end, they do have a “Grinch” cover if you want to watch them during Christmas time. The who’s are in the grinch not the nightmare before Christmas lol 😂

Also Geoff, the bass singer, has his own channel, and just released Jack's Lament (the iconic song Jack was singing as he walked down the curly thing in front of the moon in the posters/previews). It's not acapella, and just Geoff, not the whole group. It's a real blast! Also on Geoff's channel are Halloween treats like Monster Mash and The Headless Horseman.

But I think, you will enjoy e.g. "Nothing Else Matters", too (and The Rains Of Castamaer, I See Fire, Valhalla Calling... - any songs you like and have been 'upgraded' by VP or Geoff) 👍

Personally I don't like the movie but I love what VoicePlay do with the songs: This is Halloween, What's this? and KIdnap the Sandy Claws. The bass singer Geoff (Castellucci) with a five octave range, has also just released his low bass cover of Jack's Lament. It's brilliant. Incidentally they've done a video called Boy Bands in Five Minutes i which Boys2Men appear. .

I think you'd really enjoy VPs cover of Kidnap the Santy Claws. It's incredibly fun, and the other characters get their due...

They haven't done the whole soundtrack yet, but VP has done four of the songs, and if you count Geoff's new cover of Jack's Lament, which just came out this month, that makes five, so far. I kind of need them to do What Have I Done, which has always been my favorite song from the movie.
