that is really odd. i've got this signal and recorded it, sent it via the drone, got odd messages in EMAIL, but haven't died! did this ending got an update or something? (playing the game blind so don't spoil too much pls)
@@zaneplayx3176 it had skull and the message like in the video, ". . . t h e e n d i s n e a r . . .", i upgraded my pc up to lvl 3, i sent the 3rd level signal drive, first time got message from uln if i recall correctly, saying "the drive is empty", the next time they said something like "oh yeah that was a prank from someone in the bunker". kinda all the same with the video, but i didn't die afterwards, 5 ingame days later and still alive
Finally, a good recording of what happends to the environment in the conversion ending. This confirms that the sky is in fact covered in the a patter of what looks like a weird red face
One thing to note is that there is a signal in the game that is just a blood red planet with a panicked message. This might be also what happens to earth in this event. HOW does the mere act of capturing a signal from the meteor dooms the planet and whose message is it at the end, is a mystery.
That's something to be expected when you are receiving various signals from a ever-growing black void, one day you get used to this type of stuff, so I don't blame Kel for that
For people who can't seem to comprehend the individual 3 frames (I counted,) that the flash is present, what is happening is a jumpscare that covers the landscape in retextures to be the face present on the scope inside the base. During this radio frequency, it is implied that the doctor is being mind controlled, is alien, or the planet becomes shut off. Scanning this frequency either implies a state of 'consequence,' or 'finality.' The skybox is painted with several retextures in a kaleidoscope pattern with this face. The end is truly near! If you tried hard enough you'll recognize how every part is also the face, but just look at the sky. Eugh.
There is that one blood red planet that sent out a distress signal beforehand, but that planet also sent out a signal that wasn't distressed and it was still red then, might be related
@@chickennuggets8685 Might I inquire to this? There is a red planet in particular that says 'Send to the Queen,' repeatedly, in a distressing sound. This is about all I can think of at the moment.
That's the first signal you can get from that planet. The next signal just repeats "HELP US IT IS EVERYWHERE EVERYONE IS DEAD" over and over@@ZennyHasApathy
I remember first getting this and my head hurt from the immediate dread I felt getting this signal, followed by the email. Naturally, like an idiot, I saved the signal on the laptop so I could show my friend later.
@@Lucas-Omega if i remember correctly you need to immediately erase this signal from the disk, computer database, server database and from some other thing. You have around 5 minutes to do so. Maybe I misremembered most of the method because i saw it in a video that barely mentioned this
@@gamingguy233 I guess an update to what happened, I sent off the signal so I thought my saved was screwed but I was able to erase it off my database and by making a copy and shredding the copy it allowed me to be saved.
@@gamingguy233 What I heard is: You get an immediate mail after you got this signal telling you to destroy the cartrige with signal ASAP as well as any copy lying in databases or the servers. THOUGH you have time until the evening where the jumpscare happens Could be wrong, thats what I just heard iirc
My man Joel has gone through the entire game and has seen like 2 scares the entire game because he doesn't do anything and scares himself 99% of the time. Joel will literally never fuckin' find this lmao.
I honestly feel like stuff like this needs to sorta have a chance to happen without him finding it or have chat or the dev tell him how to get them.but yeah it kinda sucks how he’s too scared to even do anything
I remember I found this signal, but I had just started playing the game and was learning how to manage doing... literally anything in a reasonable about of time. So, I just sent it in as a level 0 signal and didn't think twice about it. BOY I am GLAD that I didn't know how to save signals yet because I remember thinking of processing that one later.
Ahahaha, I'm just an idiot. I sent a driver with this signal using a drone to find out what other scientists would respond to this recording, and then an autosave occurred. Now it’s constantly killing me - I’ll have to set up a base and start collecting omega kerfur from the beginning(
such a classic blunder. I remember doing that in skyrim lol. constant deathloop. its a valuable lesson, albeit an annoying one. you will never forget to save again
based on the ending text, are the arirals acually trying to save u from somthing they have been following, and your like the chosen one type stuff, cuz if so... thats awesome
I think they're doing it more for the Earth than actually for You, considering the fact that Arirals sometimes try to scare or annoy you But the possibility of you being special in the lore is still not discarded, since the game is still in Alpha and doesn't have much about the story
It seems more like they wanted to neutralize Dr. Kel (preferably alive, for moral, informational or reputational reasons with Earth I guess,) than 'save' him, since both the "3 DAYS" and "HELP US GET HOME WE NOT KILL YOU" (despite how they likely don't need help leaving since the logs imply they're on Earth for a mission) notes you get from the brownie trail ensinuate that they essentially just want you for their own benefit somehow, and assume that if you're willing to listen to them that you're not gonna rat them out. IMO, that log is basically saying "Earth and Dr. Kel are gone in a bad way sadly, but at least their deaths gave us a lead on that flesh asteroid".
@@ChillOki to me it seems like they've seen what that stuff can do, and have their people visiting sufficiently-advanced planets to find whoever might catch that signal and ensure they _do not process that signal._ Dr Kel is one of the people on Earth who can potentially set it off as part of their job, so they endear themselves to the guy however they can, such that when the time comes, their warning is heeded rather than written off. Dr Kel is special, but in a "right place right time" sorta way rather than anything innate.
The first time I got this signal it bugged out and didint end up doing anything. I knew that _something_ was supposed to happen, since I'd seen it mentioned on the discord. That ended up being a very dreadful 30-ish minutes 😅
I was Just thinking, what if the Red Skull ending, is a Phase Shift of the universe. The higgsboson drops to a lower state and changes matter around it, causing an irriversible change in the universe
4 According to Chinese tradition, it is almost the number of the devil. So yeah According to Chinese tradition, it is almost the number of the devil. So yes, it's symbolic
So I just got this signal... Learned that I had to delete the drives, which I did, but it still happened... Then I deleted the copy I had saved on the PC's Database, but it STILL happened for some reason. Turns out I still had the signal saved from a while ago, before I got around to process it. So you even have to delete the original signal from before it shows the skull.
God, I'm so fucked up right now. in short, I'm sitting waiting for everything to turn red, clicking on the comments to read them, and at the same moment it all started
if you spam the > button at around 4:44 for 2 frames you can see how the world looks...fucking terrifying because the texture is just purely red and faces
had to search up this ending because a friend of mine has been in a event loop that doesnt let you pause or save, does it still happen when that bug happens?
My current guess is that the meteor is/contains some sort of world ending entity/is the world ending entity which turns planets into the meatball looking planets Spoilers for some events below I think the terminal is from the Ariral ship(s), and because its objective is to 'follow object', I would assume that the Ariral knew of this entity and its path towards earth, or at least of the potential for humanity to discover it, which is why they send an email to you telling you to destroy all the data of the signal. In the email it appears that their planet was also destroyed and that they 'did not have enough time'. When the terminal says that earth was "converted", I think thats why we find some signals from planets which are red and orange and give off strange sounds. Regardless thats all I've got for now.
Seems the player character was either an alien or some greater force was using them. I assume the red planet is some cursed space object that if its scanned will just doom the planet or something.
As of 1.70 I literally can’t prevent this from happening to me after I process the signal to level 3, no matter how much I try to wipe all traces of it.
@aprender1952 nuh uh, I got it and then sent it to Dr. Bao and he said it was empty. Been playing the game for days on that same save without reloading and nothing bad happened.
It starts when you process the signal to level 3. But you have to make sure you delete even the level 1 saved signal to stop the event from concluding.@@edward9487
While there's no way to know if the signal you just pinged is the Asteroid, there's a way to prevent it from happening after seeing the signal, which is erasing its data using a machine near the garage door, then you'll be fine if you do it correctly
I am your sister's friend, I know her name and how old she is... I have no idea what I'm doing and what's happening... Also, congrats on getting 40 thousand views!
Time to introduce 4 somewhat disturbing events :3 • Bad Sun / Censored Sun Event • Golden Glare / Obelisk Event • Black Fog Event • Disabled Sun Event ( I've only seen one piece of Footage, but basically the Sun and Ambience shuts down for a moment of time, leaving the outside completely pitch black and silent )
SO IT IS GARRY'S MOD. Or, well, a Source game. NO OTHER GAMES IN EXISTENCE USE KLEINER's "Oh fiddlesticks, what now?" ERROR SOUND WHEN A SOUND FAILS TO LOAD.
