there's always been halftime in all genres, but in the modern DnB songs its heavily influenced from the dubstep movement (to be clear, dubstep doesnt = grungy wobbles all the time). "He noted that, for him, the movement feels more like “sped-up dubstep … Dubstep at 160" "One last side to the slow/fast revival brings it back to dubstep... the whole approach of dubstep allowed people to realise that you didn’t need to batter people over the head with constant drum pressure to create danceable music" Just for discussion purposes, I'm pretty interested about this stuff.
