I am still right no matter the circumstances. My statement accurately and correctly pointed out that the user's statement was incorrect. The user clearly was not referencing FiXT's Podsafe program, and so that fact is irrelevent to the situation. Even with Podsafe tracks, only the user that *directly* purchased the content is given the distribution license. Illegal breach of copyright still exists and so my comment is still valid and applicable.
Normally you'd be right, but FiXT Records has a program that allows nonprofit use of select tracks called "Podsafe", and Voicians is part of that. This isn't Fair Use, it's just a label understanding its audience. Of course, this is on their terms.
Wrong. Read up on "Fair Use" - while it can help protect someone using material in understandable ways, it does not give you a free pass to use copyrighted material simply because you aren't making any money from it. Whether or not you make a profit off of using copyrighted material is absolutely irrelevant
If you think I am replying because I want to triumph over you or prove some kind of point, then you seriously misunderstand the reason for debate and open dialogue. And if this is the case, it makes your reason for saying anything at all to me from the onset *very* hypocritical and ironic. A person asked a question, which means they wanted an answer. Providing the most accurate answer for the individual should be your concern, which clearly it is not, making *you* the self-interested one.
And by the way, I'm done arguing with you. I did what I came here to do, which was answer a question, I elaborated on my answer, and I have better things to do than continue a pointlessly pedantic "debate" with some random. Nobody here needs this.
Now that you have demonstrated that you didn't reply to my comment in order to help the person receive an informed, detailed answer, I ask you to kindly remove yourself from the conversation so that the important material may remain accessible to the public without a mess to sift through such as this pointless inane banter.
