These playthroughs are so helpful. I'm still on easy mode with the 2 rated complexity factions and the second solo map and struggling to play consistently well. It's good to see someone else's thought process as to turn order etc. So thanks!

@wilfbiffherb Thanks! I remember playing on Easy and losing quite a bit, and then it just sort of "clicked" one day and I leveled up haha. Going to Hard was another big step, and I generally prefer playing on Normal--I've only got so much brain available to burn!

Enjoyed this play through, so thanks! Got me motivated to set this up to play this weekend. As a casual solo gamer, I love seeing the play throughs with the different houses, techs, & scenarios as I don't feel Voidfall play throughs create any spoilers. Feel like yours are the best, so keep 'em coming!

@table_for_one played House Astoran on easy as it has been a while. Was sweating it but readily won as I swapped Might agenda cards late in the game to get Research Archives, which I probably wouldn't have thought to do but for watching your strategy video as a refresher. I forgot just how freakin awesome this game is. It had been a couple of months, LOL!

@corey3145 Nice win! Astoran is neat-I think a lot of people are turned off by the extra upkeep, but the extra fleet power activations are super helpful. Yeah, VF is pretty great 😆

@@table_for_one Darkest Hour with House Nervo (normal/medium) I accidentally skipped the Darkest Hour scenario and played ancient secrets just prior (ancient secrets snowballed and barely beat the voidborn by 5 points haha) Next up is Devil's Triangle

@johnathankokoski Thanks! Maybe I should have bumped up to Hard on that one, but it just depends on my mood that day, and usually when I'm recording I like to keep it more casual. Tough question! They're all great in different situations, but it's hard to predict the situations you might face before the game starts. I'd say at the moment my two favorites are Nervo and Zenor. How about you?

@johnathankokoski Your reasoning is sound! I kind of prefer when Shiveus is in the tech tableau because Dreadnoughts and Decontamination Chambers are both great and then I can delay the decision of which tech I might want.

no matter how many playthroughs of this i watch...i leave wondering...how much could u strip away and still have a coherent fun enjoyable game experience...i dont understand games that jam every single idea into a single game design, i get exhausted just watching...and soon after lose interest...not to mention i dont want to run a bot thats as complex as it just being another player...having said all this..the.game looks gorgeous...

@georgeresso6835 Could you strip parts away and still have a fun game? Absolutely. But-in my opinion-it’s fun the way it is and I wouldn’t want to remove anything. The expansive decision space is also full of interesting constraints, and through that I find a more rewarding experience. But hey, I love Patchwork, too. There is room for all sizes of games within this hobby. I don’t find that Voidfall has a very taxing opponent (bot) though, nor do I think it replicates another player (or intends to, for that matter).
