We had such a great time with you playing our first show outside of Denmark since end of 2019! Thank you for the experience WDR Rockpalast, Harmonie Bonn & everyone involved that made this possible.
VOLA is the emerging band that I like the most of all. I love the sounds they create...progressive metal + electronic music and progressive rock in their hands blend into something WONDERFUL for me. The texts that I have to translate are also beautiful but they are worth it because they are meaningful and not trivial. I hope to continue like this 🙏

I think they are one of the best bands in the prog scene right now. They mix the heavy stuff with pretty/synthy stuff so well and always make sure to have a well-written son that isn't just a wank fest. I agree too about the lyrics, he's a really solid writer.
I know people say this a lot, but this band were integral in saving my life. In 2018 my son was born and it was incredibly difficult and traumatic. I didn't know that i was suffering with complex PTSD and bipolar. I remember finding "the same war" by accident. I listened to inmazes back to front in the dark. The emotion, power, message. Made me see hope, made me see purpose. Vola, I love you more than you will ever know ❤️
My local independent record store manager told me to buy the Witness album and if I didn't like it return it. So I bought it. I didn't return it. It's probably the album I most listened to in 2021. Absolutely love the wall of grinding guitar and the almost poppy choruses. This week I got the debut from the same store. Can't wait for Live from the Pool.
I swear theres the odd time when i open my eyes and look at the band playing. the crowd swaying, its all like as if the mothership is being called to come take us home , like the end of Alien Shivers or intro of Head mounted sideways So glad I found these guys at such an important time in music where it feels like talent and art is no longer needed in music, bollocks to that, thanks guys
What a great, great, great fucking band. What blows my mind, is how Asger and Nicolai are able to sing over the technical riffs they play. Absolute insanity.
And not just sing, sing. They fkin SING. I honestly didn't expect them to be THAT good live, their music doesn't even sound like it would work live but it totally does!
@@wolvetica I've always found their lyrics impressive for that reason. They really are like poems and art on their own. The word choices and articulation is amazing given that English is their second language
I just look at this crowed and think, my people!! Lol they appreciate VOLA and they appreciate good music. Here in 2021, coming closer to 2022, I think us VOLA fans should be named The Distant Crowds. Who's with me? Lol
LOVE the new spin on "OWLS". Adam is underrated! Just like Asgars vocals, it took awhile for him to grow on me now he's one of my favorite drummers. Love these guys.
It blows my mind how they achieve such a "clean" sound while keeping it full and big. The keyboardist is definetly a key piece of their "larger than life" sound.
I don't know what it is with "Inside Your Fur" but it gets to me every time! I'm not a big cryer, but that song man... Pppfff... I'm not crying, you're crying!
They are the new Opeth. Not in a bad sense, In the sense that Opeth once was a band that was standing out. Vola brings what I love most in metal music, blending violence with beauty, energy from the most dark and beautiful facets of the human being, transcending the genres to create a unique style they proudly own. I've seen them live and it was my best live gig since Meshuggah
Hate to say I just recently discovered this band from Liquid Metal on xm radio. Last band that impressed me this much with their music was Poets of the Fall
But what a show! Ole your balls !! Your groove and musicians are incredible... We hope to enjoy you soon in Spain, let's fucking break our necks with Vola!!
These guys are phenomenal! I happened across "Straight Lines" back in the Spring and was blown away. They sound amazing live too, which is always a sign of a great band.
I had the fortune of see them in 2018 in Seville. I don't knew nothing about they but when i heard their music I know that they will become a very important band. Thanks for your music!
Their songwriting is so good, like great pop music that gets you hooked instantly mixed with prog metal and somehow it just works withsound sounding incoherent.
This example shows that loud music doesn’t have to be bad ! Lovely Head-Voice ,smooth but powerful ,with good feeling great kompatibel with the hardest Style of the Rock Music! Excellent Arrangements and performance! It does well sometimes Rock off…..even wenn I’m not quite young…. I feel good ,never mind 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
@@Studerphil Hi Philip ! Thx so much for a Feedback. That’s exactly what I mean ! What matters is Quality ! Usually I hear Jazz/ Rock , Funk /Rock ……LAUD ! It’s fantastic,when the Sound go deep „ in the KIDNEYS“ !
Absolutly incredible band. Every single one of those guys are talented in their own way but collectively they are incredible. The sound as well is flawless. Not many bands out there that osund like their mastered album. You can tell these guys live and breathe music and put all their time and effforts into their performances. Can't wait for them to tour the UK, they never toured with Starset another of my favourite bands, saw them last night at Nottingham Rock city.. But I hope they tour with starset here in the future. See you soon VOLA!
Yeah if they played every song from Inmazes at a live concert (plus Ghosts, Straight Lines, 24 Light Years, and Stone Leaders) that would be my ideal setlist. :P
I'm in love with this band, they're criminally underrated and deserve so much more success, can't wait to see them in September in South France (if covid don't cancel everything again)
DAMN! The bassist is really important on the singing part! I thought it was just Asger being doubled by himself 0_0 nope he's got a great falsetto on his back-end in the bassist :D
I just recently discovered VOLA and god damn they are a breath of fresh air. I love this concert! Also props to the guy going full Jens face at the end of Smartfriend 54:41 lol
I only recently discovered these guys (Ontario Canada), and with so much electronic and production sounds you wonder if they can pull it off live -- yes, yes they can. In incredible fashion. Love it
I love this performance I've watched it too many times. The gents do an excellent job of keeping it together when the laptop goes bonkers about half way through Inside Your Fur, it seems to throw Adam off as well so I'm guessing it takes out the click track too. They pull through it nicely though.
