In this ( FPV Ranger 2000 Build Part 6 ) video we upgrade the servos to metal gear servos, center the servos and attach the control rods making sure the control surfaces operate correctly. We also add LED lighting for night flying, laminate the wings with 1.7 Mil laminating film and apply the decals.

The CP Laminating Film - 1.7 Mil x 18" from alofthobbies.com is excellent for super light builds. The The 3 mil is great for skid plates on the bottom of belly landers.

The Ranger 2000 is an easy to assemble FPV pusher glider and features a large wingspan for stability in the air. The wings are fitted with two spars to strengthen the wings and they are attached using fast connecting wing clips to join the wings into the fuselage. After flying, simply squeeze the clips to release the wings and easily store the plane in your car.
The fuselage has the capacity for an FPV camera and related components. The plug-and-fly plane is a single-body aircraft with a plastic fuselage that offers flexible, lightweight protection in case of crash landings. At the front of the fuselage, a pre-cut hole gives you the option of adding an FPV camera. The position puts you right in the pilot's seat without having to cut into the sturdy body of the plane yourself. Remove the black canopy to reveal a flat bed for mounting different cameras, transforming your glider into the perfect FPV model or videography vehicle.

Love the Leds and didnt know they would light up the wing like they did and there was me thinking because they were hidden that you would not be able to see them when they were turned on

Yes Sir I have the same problem here in Strafford, Missouri, I live in the country, have cows and two horses and a S500 quad I'm trying to build. I want the quad to check the fences with. Had my left knee replaced two years ago and that doctor crippled me. Don't get around to well anymore. Live by Springfield. Today a high 71 wind from the N. @ 10 mph. Good day to mow with a zero turn mower.

Your the second person I know from Missouri. Something tells me you must know Uncle Deek from St Joe. I usually get his weather about a day after he gets it. That sounds like a very good use for a quad like the S500.

No Sir I don't know Uncle Deek from St.Joe. I've a sister that lives in St.Joe maybe she might know of a Uncle Deek. I talk to her on Sundays, I'll ask her then and let you know. Hey Dave, Do you have a RU-vid video on explaining PWM and S-Bus connection? It would take me hours to look. Not sure what to look under or for. I watched the video on EzUHF Rx. Very good video. I put landing gears on my S500. Not sure where the servo would go. I'm using a 2.8 APM Arducopter and would very much like to use the EzUHF equipment. If you could lead me in the right direction on the video I would be so appreciative. As always I thank you for being there.

Uncle Deek real name is Dick Gibson and he is into RC and drones. His channel is ru-vid.comvideos You should probably use the flaps channel 5 or channel 6 (Aux1 or Aux2) for the landing gear.

It’s looking good Dave! I saw that you put the lam over the surface mounted LEDs on the bottom. How did that work and were you able to apply heat to the strips between the diodes, and if so, did that result in any problems; or did you just use a heat gun or something to shrink the lam over the strips. I’m really just wondering if either lam or heat had any negative effect on the LEDs? This is a nice build as usual. Can’t wait for the next installment.

Thanks Tom. The lamination worked okay on the bottom LEDs but I only heated around the outside edges of the strips. No I did not heat between the individual LED lights but it's hardly noticeable. Next episode I will be getting into setting up the stabilization for the PixHawk which is always fun.

hello friend !!! can you please tell me if it is possible to put a motor 2814 / 1100kv for 4s on a ranger 2000 ??? if so what propeller do you use ???
