"Problem" is that they like to play old school style Rock 'n Roll. Funny thing is that heavy metal is now mainstream and no-gimmicks Rock is back underground. At least outside Europe anyway. Got to respect these guys to sticking with it though.

The gem that is Volbeat is that they first and foremost are melodic. IMO music isn't any good if it isn't melodic. #2, they find a way to blend hard-rock and metal into country, rock n roll and other genres with ease. IMO they are the modern day equivalent of Queen.

I can’t believe this band has been around so long and I just discovered them a few months ago! These guys are awesome! Since I haven’t been around from the beginning, I got exposed to their entire catalog, all at one time. Each new song I listened to was like uncovering a new treasure. I don’t have the bias of saying that I wish they hadn’t changed over the years because I’m not sure which songs are old or new. Jumping into the whole thing at once made me love it all. The variety is awesome!
