Voljen Grbac and Joso Butorac, accompanied by Mladen Žmak on piano, performed the song "Prošeći se z manun po"Kvarneru", which they originally performed together with Mirko Cetinski at the 2006 MIK festival, winning first place by the attending audience vote. They were joined on stage by all the other concert performers for the ending performance.
On 9 April 2024, a humanitarian concert "Va dihe mora" was held at the Gervais centre in Opatija, Croatia, that marked 25 years of service of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Port Authorities and the 60th anniversary of the Melodije Istre i Kvarnera festival. Numerous MIK hits were performed and ticket sales proceeds were donated to Rehabilitation centre Fortica in Kraljevica, Croatia.
