Jesse Fritz yes actually, they are doing trials in France. Check out the 'fully charged show' channel. They did a story on it 2 years ago. Up to 20 kW charging over a 500mtr stretch of road.

I don‘t think so. Much to expensive and ineffective. Especially on the us highway, which already is not very well engineered

You could be right about the US. I haven't seen many highways in the US where it would be practical. Some cities in the US where the roads are flat and there seems to be congestion could be useful.
