Why does a wagon review skim over the most differentiating part of this vehicle (compared to the hatch)? You quote litres straight out of the brochure, show a quick pic and move one. I'm pretty sure that the boot floor is hight adjustable? It would have been great to see that in action. Also, it takes seconds to pull out a tape measure and give some length, width and height numbers that people can use to compare with what they currently drive. I would suggest getting into some of those details that would be important for people considering a wagon.
I’ve owned Mk 5, 6 and 7 GTI’s. I’ll be sticking with my brilliant ŠKODA Superb Sportline wagon. Best car I’ve ever owned. I’ve just extended the warranty and servicing packs. More room for the family than the Golf as well. More compliant suspension. I couldn’t stand the obsession with touchscreens and haptic feedback. Give me buttons and dials any day. All it does is takes your mind and eyes off the road ahead. And don’t get me started on the repulsive looks of the new Golf.
Skoda Superb Sportline wagon: same engine (albeit slightly detuned), better looking, more cargo space, more standard equipment, less clumsy infotainment ergonomics, more comfortable ride and $10k cheaper.
