As someone who has worked in a car factory with high standards i find this one to be just amazing, it's so simplistic and clean. Obvious that the workers are working slower and more carefully than usual for the camera though, i mean who the hell does this? (7:50). Production time doesn't allow for that kind of stuff, not in the car industry.

A lot of brought in parts. Didn't see much of sub lines concerning the engine dressup, IP (dashboard), rear suspension etc. Only the door lines. Would love to see to what level they are manufacturing to. Amazing plant though. Some impressive engineering considering the level of safety they need to be rated to. A lot of usage of safety scanners. Very cool.

Every third car in the streets in Dresden is a Phaeton, same in Shanghai, it's not popular in Gelsenkirchen though.

5:28 - Did they use a standard power wrench or was it a torque wrench? Interesting to see them actually install the steering wheel. Every car assembly video I've watched on RU-vid showed the steering wheel already bolted to the dash as a single unit.

So much effort for the Phaeton, nobody buys it. ...All the costst for this factory! O.o
